Durgapur Sundaram Creative Welfare Society is dedicated to empowering women and children from underprivileged and lower-income families by providing them with education, health, nutrition, and livelihood support. The organization is headquartered in Durgapur and has a branch office in Santuri Block, Purulia& Bolpur, Birbhum. Our activities are in mainly in the Districts of Purba, Paschim Bardhaman
, Purulia, Birbhum, Jhargram, Medinipur. We are also Partner PTA Organization of Khadi Village & Indiustries Commision (KVIC), under Min. DSCWS is registered under the Societies Registration Act in 2006 S/IL 38401. DSCWS main branch office is located at Santuri Block, Purulia. Our NGO was set up in 2006 with the member of 3 people whose qualifications are of Social Work background; our team is dynamic and always looks forward for advancement. As we are stepping through the years in association with Essar, IISCO, DSP(SAIL), Eastern Coal Limited (ECL), MSME, National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) National Small Industrial Corporation (NSIC), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Ministry of Labour & Employment and Govt. of India; our NGO is growing stronger in work and also marching forward into a look of other companies to work with. The organization has been actively engaged in various initiatives aimed at empowering women, improving healthcare, and promoting education in the underprivileged communities. As a part of our efforts to promote health and wellness, we at Durgapur Sundaram Creative Welfare Society conduct free medical health camps at various villages every month. Our aim is to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to the rural population and we are glad to have made a positive impact in the lives of the people. Additionally, we also provide sanitary napkin-making training, conduct awareness programs and free sanitary napkin distribution programs across the village communities. This is an effort towards promoting menstrual hygiene and empowering women in the tribal communities. We also have a permanent showroom, “Kutir Shilpo” that showcases handmade handicrafts made by women from rural communities. This initiative is aimed at empowering women through self-reliance and providing them with sustainable livelihood opportunities. Our organization is dedicated to the betterment of communities and the empowerment of women, and we are proud of the work that we do. We will continue to work towards making a positive impact in the lives of those around us.
