Sometimes, the simplest technologies create the biggest impact.
The use of low-cost fibre sheet lining in the damaged earthen dam at Ramsagra village, Rajasthan is one such example—practical, affordable, and highly effective. What makes it truly special is seeing such innovations reach even the most remote and far-flung communities.
It’s overwhelming in the best way—to witness solutions that are not only technically sound but also accessible and scalable for villages. When low-cost technologies travel to these regions, they don’t just solve problems—they build resilience, confidence, and hope.
Now, hoping to see its full potential unfold after the monsoons—when every drop stored will truly tell its story. 💧🌱 🏵️

🌱 Transforming Tribal Women Farmers through Sustainable Livelihoods 🌱

With the support of Azim Premji Foundation , we are working with 1,120 tribal women farmers to improve their economic well-being by promoting sustainable, market-oriented cultivation of vegetables and spices through the development of Wadis on their farmland.

As part of the initiative, 11 Krishi Sakhis and women farmers are receiving regular training on organic inputs and organic farming practices, including preparation and use of organic manure, bio-inputs, and natural pest management techniques.

These trainings are helping women farmers reduce cultivation costs, improve soil health, and adopt chemical-free, climate-resilient farming systems, while enhancing the quality and market value of their produce.

This initiative reflects a strong commitment towards women-led organic agriculture and sustainable livelihoods in tribal communities. 🌾✨

Transforming awareness into action 💧🌱

In a region where farmers were once completely unaware of Micro Irrigation Systems (MIS), a significant shift is now underway. Through the support of and continuous field efforts, our team facilitated awareness, guided farmers through the process, and supported them in accessing government subsidies for installation.

Today, farmers are adopting sprinkler and micro-irrigation systems — reducing water wastage, improving irrigation efficiency, and moving toward more climate-resilient agriculture.

This transition marks an important step toward water conservation and enhanced farmer livelihoods.

🏵️ Reflecting, Learning & Moving Forward
After successfully completing Phase 1 with NDDB–Sustain Plus Energy Foundation (SPEF)—facilitating 1,100 biogas units and building a cyclic agricultural model through a functional Organic Manure Plant—we participated in the regional stakeholders’ consultation workshop for Phase 2.
The workshop was a valuable platform for brainstorming, experience sharing, and drawing key learnings from Phase 1 to strengthen strategies for the next phase of implementation.
Together, we continue working towards clean energy, sustainable agriculture, and resilient rural livelihoods 🌾♻️
