It was an eventful fortnight for 'Hum CharitableTrust', full of activities in the UT of Jammu-Kashmir.
It began with the 4th group of tourists vising the welfare projects from 20th of April to 25th of April. The tour which is fast becoming popular, in as much that we have to hold registration n people for the next visit. The 4th group visit finished with accustomed smoothness on 25th.
On 27th we started receving the team members for medical camps in the kashmir valley, around Srinagar.
Immediately on arrival n after a brief inaugural function, the groups divided into 5 teams (each consisting of a male n female doctor n 2 volunteers tohelp with registration n medicines) went to their destinations the same day for the night halt.
The response for the camp was overwhelming both in numbers n in the affection with which the team was greeted by the locals. Some data about the camps;
A- 1st day Kachan(167), 2nd day Tullaeagh (85) ( Gamderbal district)
B- 1st day Hard Shoora (105), 2nd day Gund Maqsood 97 ( Baramulla district)
C- Nagdandi(Anantnag district) 1st day 84, 2nd day 102
D- 1st day Haeef Shirmal 144, 2nd day Newa 119 (Pulwama district
E- Chara-E-Sharif, Kandijan 164 Chrivan 167 (Budgam district)

The doctors, not only paid for their travel from Mumbai to Sribagar n back ( as do all volunteers travelling to Jammu or Srinagar, travelling at their own cost) but they also helped us with the medicines.
With this exercise, we feel we have reached out n connected with1,234 patients, around 500 families in 10 villages in 5 districts.
