The Rotary Club of Dombivli and the Interact Club jointly organized a workshop on the Act at RSK hall.
The POCSO Act refers to the “Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.”

This law was enacted to safeguard children from sexual abuse and exploitation.

Under the leadership of Rotary Club of Dombivli President, Mrs. Snehal Shinde, and with the coordination of Mrs. Jayashree Karve from the Dombivli Mahila Mahasangh, parents and students were guided in simple language about how the Act is a comprehensive legal framework aimed at protecting children from sexual exploitation and ensuring justice for victims.

The slogan “Unite and Fight” was strongly emphasized.

Present on the occasion were Rtn. Manoj Patil, the school’s Principal Mrs. Apeksha teachers, non-teaching staff, and parents. The workshop concluded after an interactive Q\&A session with the students.

"Shravan Dhara 2025"- A Musical Monsoon Evening in Monsoon Magic
Rotary Club of Dombivli!

The Rotary Club of Dombivli celebrated "श्रावण धारा 2025" a musical cultural evening that combined melodious songs, dance performances, and Exciting Grand Antakshari , amidst the monsoon showers.

The highlight of the evening was the "Fusion Dance – Paaus," where traditional dance was beautifully blended with modern dance styles by students from Eklavya Nrutya Institute. This was followed by a thrilling "Grand Antakshari" competition, where Rotary family members participated with great enthusiasm. The team "मुसळधार" won the competition, which included surprise rounds and entertaining moments, and was awarded attractive prizes.

A melodious mix of Marathi and Hindi monsoon songs immersed the entire auditorium in the spirit of Shravan. For a delightful evening treat, " Delicacies" were served, featuring traditional monsoon delicacies. The event had a "Shades of Green" dress code, which added to the ambiance with the hall adorned in various shades of green.

The successful organization of the event was attributed to the efforts of Club President Rtn. Snehal Shinde, Secretary & Project chair Rtn. Poonam Phulgaonkar, and the excellent anchoring by Rtn Dr. Amit & Veda Patankar.
Judges Mahaguru was also couple Rtn Pankaj & Meenal Baviskar. 75+ Rotarians and their family members participated in the event & making the evening memorable with laughter, music, and wonderful company

Rotary Club of Dombivli organized a delightful Monsoon Picnic at Bonfire Farms, Murbad – complete with a cozy fireside experience! 🔥✨

All the memembers joined in, making it a truly funtastic and refreshing stress-buster day. Together, we enjoyed the rains, nature, and wonderful fellowship. 🌿☔

💚 In line with our commitment to the environment, we also conducted a review of the Tree Plantation Project under the Smile Years initiative.

Making a Difference, One School at a Time!

We’re thrilled to share that the Rotary Club of Dombivli has successfully completed the Happy School Project at two Zilla Parishad schools in Murbad – Takichi Wadi and Devral Wadi!

The project inauguration was graced by Rtn. Sangram Joshi as the Chief Guest.

The joy and excitement on the faces of the students were truly heartwarming and beyond words.

At Rotary Club of Dombivli, we remain committed to making a meaningful difference in society by supporting impactful initiatives like the Happy School Project.

Rotary Club of Dombivli Ascension Program on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.

This Program was at Industrial Technical Institute, Girls ITI, Kopari, Thane.

The program was inaugurated by the Rotary Club of Dombivli and their principal, Smt. Mane madam

This program was conducted by, mentor for the project, Rtn. Manohar Desai and attended by Rtn Vishal Dhuri, Rtn. Ravindra Khanolkar.

Introduction to Arduino and hands on training on IoT, was given to 27 eligible students from electronics and mechatronics. This training has a great importance when these students will pass out from ITI and search for an opportunity outside.

Rtn. Vishal Dhuri was of a great technical help to deal with the technical harders, before today's program.

Great efforts and patience were seen by Rtn. Manohar Desai, while teaching the difficult subjects in a very easy to understand manner. Of course he has great experience for more than a decade, to teach engineers from IIT, working engineers from various companies and also teachers - trainers from various ITIs.

Program was well learned by the students buy understanding the programming codes on computers, followed by changes in coding and handson practicals on the devices, all the way carried and provided by Rtn. Manohar Desai.

After proper inspection from all computers and results shown by the students, the certificates wear issued to all the students.

The program was well praised by their Dy Principal and Trainers.
