Formation of CCRCHAP | 29th June 2025
On the auspicious occasion of the 63rd Birth Anniversary Tribute to Late Subimal Bikash Chakma — a visionary leader and tireless advocate for Chakma-Hajong rights — the Committee for Citizenship Rights of the Chakmas and Hajongs of Arunachal Pradesh (CCRCHAP) was formally reconstituted.

In a well-attended public meeting marked by openness, transparency, and collective consensus, the new Executive Body of CCRCHAP for the term 2025–2028 was unanimously selected/elected.

𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻,

Warm greetings from the Committee for Citizenship Rights of the Chakmas and Hajongs of Arunachal Pradesh (CCRCHAP).

This is to bring to your kind notice that in the wake of the extra-ordinary and deeply concerning situation arising against the Chakma and Hajong communities, there is an urgent need for introspection, unity, and collective strategizing among our traditional village heads and community representatives.

The CCRCHAP, as the leading representative body advocating for the rights and dignity of the
Chakmas and Hajongs in Arunachal Pradesh, recognizes the growing hostility and
misinformation that continues to plague the public discourse around our identity, rights, and
legitimate presence in the state. In this regard, your active role and voice are crucial in navigating this critical juncture.

Therefore, you are cordially invited to attend a Consultative Meeting of all the Chakma and
Hajong Headmen of Arunachal Pradesh, scheduled as follows:

• Date: 4th July 2025
• Time: 1:30 PM
• Venue: Avoipur Forest Tinali Club, Diyun (Opp. Circuit House)

We urge all Headmen, irrespective of geographical zone, to prioritize this meeting and attend in person. The strength of our collective voice lies in our unity, and it is imperative that our traditional institutions stand firm and work in tandem with community-based organizations
during this critical time.

With sincere regards and in solidarity,
For CCRCHAP

For Kind Information

It has come to the attention of CCRCHAP (Chakmas for Citizenship Rights of Chakma and Hajong of Arunachal Pradesh) that some individuals have created a fake page using the name CCRCHAP, which is most likely being operated from Delhi.

This unauthorized page is engaging in social media trolling, posting unnecessary and misleading content across various platforms. These activities have caused confusion among supporters and among both the Chakma and Hajong communities of Arunachal Pradesh. The page appears to be making a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation and public trust of CCRCHAP. The same page was operated by former GS of CCRCHAP Late Santosh Chakma and it is assumed that the said page credentials has been taken over by someone and is being misused now for personal gain and self interest sidelining the very objectives of CCRCHAP.

We wish to clarify that the official headquarters of CCRCHAP is based in Arunachal Pradesh, and the organization is run through mass participation and community support, not by any individual acting without public mandate or sanction.

We kindly urge everyone to report and avoid engaging with such fake pages.
