= Statement on the Poor Quality of the Newly Constructed National Highway From Daboka Junction to Lahorijan, Karbi Anglong,Assam.

I would like to express my serious concern over the disappointing quality of the newly constructed National Highway stretch from Daboka Junction to Lahorijan. Despite significant public expenditure and expectations of a durable, well-engineered roadway, this section is already showing troubling signs of poor workmanship, including uneven surfacing, inadequate drainage, premature wear, and safety hazards that undermine the purpose of the project.

This highway is a crucial route for daily commuters, transporters, and local communities. The fact that a newly built stretch is deteriorating so quickly raises important questions about planning standards, contractor oversight, and quality control under the responsible authorities. Such shortcomings not only inconvenience the public but also pose risks to life and property while eroding trust in infrastructure projects funded by taxpayers.

I call upon NHAI and all relevant agencies to immediately review the construction quality of this corridor, conduct transparent technical audits, and take corrective action wherever deficiencies are found. Strict accountability must be enforced to ensure that public resources are not wasted and that the people of this region receive the safe, long-lasting infrastructure they were promised.

The public deserves better, and i urge the authorities to act swiftly and responsibly to address these concerns.
