Pursuant to our complaint petition dated 11/05/2026, the Under Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Higher Education Department, Dispur vide official communication dated 13/05/2026 has officially directed the Director of Higher Education, Assam to examine the matter and take appropriate action as per law.

As per the commitment made by the All India Karbi Students Union to Miss Sicilia Hansepi, a teacher at Langming Terang LP School in Nilip, we have fulfilled our promise today by sending her a reward of Rs 3000/- for the months of January to March ,2025. She has been tirelessly teaching LP students without expecting anything in return and we commend her dedication and efforts towards providing quality education in such remote regions. We pray for her continued success and blessings from the Almighty in her future endeavors.

We would like to bring to your attention that the Assam Legislative Assembly Election is scheduled to take place on April 9th, 2026. As a result, we have temporarily suspended our organization from today, April 2nd, until the election results are declared on May 6th, 2026. This decision is in accordance with our organization's constitution and respect for individual rights.

According to our constitution, whenever an election is conducted by the Election Commission of India, AIKSU must temporarily suspend its activities. This allows our members to exercise their individual rights and support the political party of their choice by casting their votes freely. We strictly prohibit all members from participating in any campaigning for a specific political party or independent candidate under the name of All India Karbi Students Union.

We must elect the right leader who will work towards building a better nation and bringing positive changes to our twin hills district of Karbi Anglong. Remember, your vote is your voice.
Please note that this temporary suspension is solely for election purposes.
