| The Dibrugarh district committees of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) staged a sit-in pr*test in Dibrugarh town on monday, raising a series of demands related to Assam's recurring flood and river erosion cr!sis.
The protesters urged the government to declare Assam's flood and river erosion situation a national issue and called for a permanent, scientific solution to the state's recurring floods and erosion problems.
They also demanded a complete waiver of agricultural loans for farmers affected by floods and river erosion, stating that repeated natural disasters have severely impacted the livelihoods of farming communities.
The demonstration witnessed the participation of AJYCP members, who raised slogans in support of their demands and urged the government to take immediate action on the longstanding issues.
