🎓✨ Valedictory & Certification Ceremony | MpowerHer Programme

A proud milestone as we celebrated the successful completion of the MpowerHer Skill Building Programme with the support of Roots To Branches Foundation at Mokalbari Tea Estate.

After a month of dedicated learning and support from our partners and the community, 33 girls and women successfully completed training in Knitting and Cutting and received their certificates.

Throughout the programme, participants strengthened their skills in producing a variety of women's apparel, transforming their inherited talents into opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

More than a training, MpowerHer is a journey of skills, confidence, and economic independence. We congratulate all the participants and thank everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success.

Together, we continue to empower women, strengthen communities, and create pathways to dignified livelihoods.

Learning doesn't stop when the training ends—it grows when it is shared. 🌱📚

After participating in our Handwriting and Storytelling Training, our dedicated Learning Leaders have taken their learning back to their tea garden communities. During the summer vacation, they voluntarily organized practice sessions to help children improve their handwriting, strengthen reading skills, and develop confidence through storytelling.

This is the impact we believe in empowering community members with knowledge and skills so they can become changemakers for the next generation. Together, we are building a culture of learning, sharing, and collective growth within our communities.

A total of 15 Learning Leaders from different tea garden areas participated in this intensive training, designed to strengthen foundational teaching practices and create more engaging, child-friendly learning environments.

We were honored to have a distinguished team of resource persons lead the sessions:

Sri. Dimbadhar Chetia – Storytelling
Sri. Partha Jyoti Baruah – Child Psychology and Classroom Interaction
Ms. Pronalish Saikia – Handwriting
Sri. Vishwanath Pai Bhatikar, Ms. Priya Naik, and Ms. Mallika Toppo (Bookworm) – Read Aloud
& Dr. Kaustabh Moni Nath

Through interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and practical classroom strategies, the workshop equipped Learning Leaders with the knowledge and skills to make learning more joyful, inclusive, and literacy-rich for children in tea garden communities.
