APUN participated in the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Orientation & Training and IAG Coordination Meeting held on 11 September 2026 in Sivasagar.

The training, organised by IAG Sivasagar in collaboration with UNICEF, State IAG Assam, and Root to Branches, focused on strengthening community engagement, accountability, and effective feedback mechanisms to ensure that community voices remain at the centre of humanitarian action.

The IAG meeting provided a valuable platform for member organisations to share updates, discuss ongoing interventions, and strengthen coordination for collective humanitarian response and recovery efforts.

We thank IAG Sivasagar and all partners for facilitating this important learning and coordination opportunity.

Today, APUN had the privilege of hosting the Orientation Session for the 1st Semester Master of Social Work (MSW) students of the Centre for Social Work Studies, Dibrugarh University, at our office.

The session introduced students to APUN’s journey, mission, and community-led initiatives, highlighting our work in disaster response, education, livelihood development, and social impact. Through interactive discussions and knowledge sharing, students gained valuable insights into grassroots development practices and the role of social workers in driving meaningful change.

We sincerely thank the Centre for Social Work Studies, Dibrugarh University, for this opportunity and look forward to fostering stronger collaborations with aspiring social work professionals in the future.

As part of the Assam Humanitarian Flood Response 2026, APUN, in collaboration with ActionAid Association, Give India, Northeast Water Talks, Sampritee and sSTEP, supported 276 flood-affected households in Hulang Katoni and Rajapul, under Nazira Revenue Circle, Sivasagar District.

The relief assistance included essential food items, hygiene materials, shelter support items, and dignity kits to help families recover with safety and dignity after the floods.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all partners, volunteers, community leaders, and supporters who made this intervention possible.
