Deka our Alumni who is running ReSolcorp visited the department and had nice chat after a long time.
Almost 7 years have passed in a blink of an eye.
Started his own entrepreneurial journey 2020 onward.
Currently, he is employing 5plus people.
he gave a comprehensive scenario of solar energy in North East India
takeaways
1. Solar energy is growing.
2. Government is pushing through PM Surya Ghar (The Government of India has approved the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana on 29th February, 2024 to increase the share of solar rooftop capacity and empower residential households to generate their own electricity)
3. Then, there are hurdles also. Difficult to find skilled workers.

On 7th Feb 2024, Department of Mechanical Engineering had received a lot of goodies from RESOLCORP. RESOLCORP is a start up by one of our Alumni named Jnnanesh Dekka (2013-2017).
