Manjari Foundation, a registered non-profit organization established in May 2015, is committed to help women from marginalized communities overcome social injustice, poverty and exclusion. We support rural women initiative at grass-root levels to facilitate empowerment so that they can lead a dignified life. We have come up with an effective and easily adaptable Manjari model which is capable of bringing in social and economic changes in adverse conditions. Manjari’s open platform is a result of tireless contribution from professional development workers and capable support from PRADAN, a pioneer in promoting Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in India. We target new milestones with the belief that someone, somewhere would make a choice to support our mission and vision and come forward to be a part of the project

After marriage, Tara Devi noticed a surprising paradox: even with farmland of their own, her family depended on local markets for daily vegetables.

This raised a fundamental question for her: why buy produce when you can grow clean, natural food at home? That realization was brought to life through a collaborative initiative implemented by Manjari Foundation and supported by Ashraya Hastha Trust. Tara's journey stands as a powerful example of how sustainable farming and community support can foster both healthier living and true financial independence.

Gandhi Jayanti is not just about cleanliness. It is about the values that shape a better society - Non-Violence, Courage, Discipline, Truth and Integrity.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2026, and inspired by this year’s International Day of Non-Violence theme- “Non-Violence as a Means to Peace and Development”, we came together under SBI Gram Seva to turn Gandhiji’s ideals into meaningful action.

Across different villages, we organised a Cleanliness Drive, Marathon and Tree Plantation activities, bringing communities together with a shared commitment towards a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable future.

For us, cleanliness is not merely an activity, it is an expression of discipline, responsibility and respect for our surroundings. The marathon symbolised the spirit of courage and collective determination, while plantation represents our responsibility towards future generations.

Gandhiji showed us that real change begins with individual action and becomes powerful when communities come together. His message of Ahimsa, Satya and Seva continues to inspire us to work towards inclusive and sustainable development.

With the support of SBI Foundation, SBI Gram Seva continues to work at the grassroots level, empowering communities and creating meaningful impact where it matters most.

Every 2nd of October, India remembers two leaders born on the same date, 35 years apart. One taught us the idea of Gram Swaraj. The other gave us a slogan that still carries immense weight "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan", reminding us that a nation's strength begins in its fields.

At Manjari, we don't have to look far to see what they meant. We see it every day in the fields of Mandla, among Dholpur's tulsi mala craftswomen, and within Jobner's Millet-cookie unit.

Our belief is simple: rural communities do not need sympathy; they thrive when given equitable access to credit, skills, markets, and leadership opportunities. They possess immense capability, what they need is simply the initial bridge to unlock that potential.

On this and , we reflect on a vision that was never about monuments, but about fostering self-reliance, dignified livelihoods, and prosperity across rural India.

Behind every achievement at Manjari Foundation are the passionate individuals driving change from the ground up. Today, we celebrate Anita Sharma, our Federation Manager in Jodhpur. Ms. Anita was recently honored with a certificate of recognition for her exceptional craft as an artisan and her unwavering commitment to training and mentoring local artisans.

The certificate was presented by two inspiring leaders from the development and handicrafts sector: Ms. Kiran Shekhawat (DCP Jodhpur) and Ms. Nilam Mahajan (Development professional).

During her visit, Ms. Kiran Shekhawat also spent time at Jhulki Stall, where she praised the fine craftsmanship of our women artisans. She encouraged our team to expand the product range and offered suggestions on strengthening marketing strategies to unlock greater opportunities for our artisans.

Moments like these reaffirm our commitment to empowering grassroots artisans and bringing their incredible talent to larger platforms!

When you think of a finance workshop, spreadsheet formulas and tax regulations are usually the first things that come to mind. But in Orchha last week alongside our 34 dedicated team members, a different truth became clear:

A finance team’s most valuable asset never actually appears on a balance sheet. It is the trust an organization places in its judgment.

Manjari Foundation hosted a three-day Accounts and Finance Workshop designed to bridge the gap between financial discipline and the human skills that power communication, leadership, and shared accountability.

👩🏻‍💻𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀: Working directly with actual bills and practical case studies, participants tackled bill review protocols, GST and TDS compliance, procurement rules, and payment decisions.

👩🏻‍💻𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀: Deep dive into VOLAC, Tally, and the Programme Chart of Accounts.

👩🏻‍💻𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: Through reflective exercises, we explored how to balance empathy for people with accountability for results.

👩🏻‍💻𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲: During the "Parachute" group simulation, team members had to challenge their own assumptions, balance competing viewpoints, and reach a collective choice.

We are glad to announce the official launch of the Integrated Community Development Project in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, a flagship initiative by L&T Finance , implemented by Manjari Foundation .

This transformative project unites three powerful initiatives under one unified vision for holistic and sustainable rural development:

Digital Sakhi Project (Empowerment through financial & digital literacy)
Jal Vaibhav 2.0 (Water conservation and natural resource management)
Gram Utthan (Comprehensive village development)

The launch was made truly special by the enthusiastic participation of 200 Digital Sakhis, showcasing the energy and leadership driving change at the grassroots level.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀: The Idea Behind the Sahariya Livelihood Project Supported by PwC India Foundation

What if livelihood development could go beyond creating income and build an ecosystem where women become farmers, entrepreneurs and decision-makers?

This was the vision behind the livelihood intervention across 10 Sahariya-dominated villages, supporting 𝟭𝟬𝟳 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 through an integrated, women-centric approach connecting skills, productive assets, sustainable agriculture, enterprise development and markets.

The project supported women through FIGs, technical training, mentoring and continuous handholding, leading to the establishment of Machan vegetable farms, Vermicompost Units, Nurseries, Bio-Resource Centres, Vegetable Shops and Vegetable Procurement Centres, along with Aajeevika Sakhis serving as local resource persons.

During the recent visit of Jaivir Singh, Vice-Chairman of PwC India Foundation interacted with women farmers and entrepreneur and rightly observed that the next step is to work closely with individual women farmers who have achieved relatively stable incomes and understand how their existing enterprises can be strengthened to unlock greater income potential.

Can vermicompost production be expanded?
Can infrastructure be made more permanent and affordable?
Can vegetable centres serve a wider customer base?
And how many more women from the same villages can be brought into similar opportunities?

These questions shift the focus from simply creating livelihood assets to 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲. Because sustainable livelihoods begin when women are not just beneficiaries of development but become the drivers of it.

At Apni Saheli Producer Company Limited (ASPCL), Saheli Pashu Aahar Unit, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, women entrepreneurs are steadily transforming their enterprise with the continuous support of Capri Loans.

With strengthened production capacity, improved market linkages, and continuous cattle feed production, the unit has been able to scale its operations and increase the monthly average income of Sakhis. Consistent quality and reliable supply have also helped the women build strong trust among farmers, resulting in repeat orders and growing demand for their products.
A recent milestone reflects this progress, the women successfully completed and dispatched a cattle feed order worth approximately ₹5.2 lakh to Dholpur. 🚚

This achievement is more than just a large order; it represents the growing confidence, enterprise capacity, and market credibility of rural women entrepreneurs.

With continued support and stronger market opportunities, Saheli Pashu Aahar Unit is creating a sustainable pathway for women-led enterprise growth and improved livelihoods.
