Manjari Foundation, a registered non-profit organization established in May 2015, is committed to help women from marginalized communities overcome social injustice, poverty and exclusion. We support rural women initiative at grass-root levels to facilitate empowerment so that they can lead a dignified life. We have come up with an effective and easily adaptable Manjari model which is capable of b

ringing in social and economic changes in adverse conditions. Manjari’s open platform is a result of tireless contribution from professional development workers and capable support from PRADAN, a pioneer in promoting Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in India. We target new milestones with the belief that someone, somewhere would make a choice to support our mission and vision and come forward to be a part of the project

In the vibrant landscapes of Rajasthan, there is an ancient cultural ethos deeply rooted in the soil: “𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞 𝙍𝙖𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙞 𝙍𝙖𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙖” which means, Nature protects those who protect it.

This , across multiple villages in Rajasthan, this philosophy didn't just echo in words; it took deep root through community action.

By shifting the focus from symbolic events to sustainable ecosystem restoration, our on-ground teams, mobilized village councils, elders, and leaders across key regions, scaled up sapling survival rates by assigning one tree per household, and installed traditional bird water-feeders across villages to protect local biodiversity🤝🌿

Who does the labor, who holds the power, and who actually takes home the profit?🤔🛖

If you look closely at a rural value chain, the answers to these questions can break your heart. For generations, rural communities especially women have been treated merely as "beneficiaries" of aid, rather than drivers of their own economic destiny.

But this week in Jaipur, the energy felt like the start of a quiet revolution.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭: 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

In partnership with the Axis Bank Foundation, Manjari Foundation kicked off a powerful 3-day intensive workshop: "
𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀?"

We brought together 30 deeply committed development professionals from SRIJAN, Ambuja Foundation, and our own Manjari team. Guided by the incredible expertise of Mr. Rajib K. Sahoo and Dr. Rakesh Singh, we didn’t just look at slides we looked at the core of human potential through the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework.

The goal? To completely dismantle the traditional "beneficiary" mindset and replace it with systemic, market-driven empowerment.

We hosted a live simulation of a Buyer-Seller Meet, bringing in local Jaipur traders, alongside buyers from Kota. It was an eye-opener. It vividly proved that a product shouldn't just be made because it can be made; it must be built on real, understood market demand. Negotiating in real-time brought the harsh, vital realities of the market straight to the classroom.

We didn't shy away from the tough conversations. In building Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), we looked directly at the gender dynamics in rural economies. True empowerment isn't just about putting women to work; it’s about ensuring they have the decision-making power and a rightful share of the profits.

Armed with new Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA) techniques, product selection matrices, and finalized field questionnaires, our teams have formed units.

We are not just training professionals; we are building an ecosystem where rural communities can stand tall, negotiate hard, and thrive independently.

The heat of the summer was no match for the warmth of our collective spirit! ☀️🤝

This Foundation Day wasn't just a celebration of an organization; it was a celebration of togetherness. Our dedicated team members from various locations and our incredible community members who have been the heartbeat of our journey over the years came together to celebrate this special occasion.

To mark the occasion and share a moment of relief in this intense weather, we spent the day distributing sweets and cold drinks. Seeing the smiles and sharing these simple refreshments reminded us that our greatest strength lies in the bonds we build.

As we celebrate our 12th Foundation Day, we don’t just look back at where we’ve been. We look forward to the miles of hope left to travel.

It is always a pleasure to contribute to such vital dialogues alongside leaders from the Reliance Foundation, Observer Research Foundation, and the Gates Foundation.

The discussions resonated deeply with our mission. While digital access is a critical first step, the transition to true agency requires dismantling deep-rooted social norms and ensuring digital safety. We believe that for women to lead in the digital economy, we must move beyond mere connectivity and focus on creating enabling ecosystems that foster long-term innovation and inclusion.

We look forward to translating these grounded insights into impactful action as we continue to support our digital sakhis in their journey toward digital leadership.

In a heartfelt collaboration with the Dholpur Police, Manjari Foundation organized a workshop dedicated to Gender Sensitization and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace (POSH).

Under the leadership of Shri Vikas Sangwan (SP, Dholpur), the atmosphere at the Dholpur Police Line was one of deep reflection and commitment. Our very own gender expert, Dr. Rakesh, led a session that went beyond legalities, it was about fostering a culture of empathy and dignity.

We are grateful to the Dholpur Police for their cooperation. When institutions and organizations join hands, we don't just change policies; we change lives.

In Kapasan Block, Chittorgarh, where the earth meets the life giving flow of our rivers, 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 was celebrated not just as a date on the calendar, but as a renewal of the bond between the humans and the waters that sustain us.

Under the 'We Care' initiative, Manjari Foundation, alongside Reliance Foundation and a selfless community of volunteers, stepped into the water’s edge not just to clean, but to heal.

Key Wins:

🌊7 clean-up events in Anupura, Dhani, Kheri, Tarakheri, and Pahoona, and Kapasan villages
🌊156 dedicated volunteers mobilized
🌊2.98 quintals of waste collected

Beyond the physical waste collected, a deeper awareness took root. We watched as communities united, realizing that to protect our water bodies is to protect our own future. Together, we are building a cleaner and greener Rajasthan💚

We are immensely grateful to share that Manjari Foundation has been recognized at the '𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲' awards, organized by HDFC Securities Ltd. in Mumbai. The ceremony highlighted our 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
