Samajik Seva Sadan successfully convened a Network Meeting of Young Girls & Women Leaders on 28th March 2026 at Panderpali, Bargaon.

The session, facilitated by Forest Department officials, focused on critical themes including forest conservation, forest fire prevention, environmental protection and leadership development. The discussions underscored the increasing incidence of forest fires and their far-reaching impact on biodiversity, wildlife, ecosystems and the livelihoods of forest-dependent communities.

Participants were sensitized on key drivers of forest fires, legal implications and practical mitigation measures such as community vigilance, creation of fire lines and timely response systems.
