On April 30, 2026, SFT-India and WASUR collaborated to present a Tibetan Calligraphy Exhibition at Upper TCV School on the concluding day of the month-long “Tibet Our Country” program, commemorating Calligraphy Day.

We mark today as an act of resistance against the systematic erasure of Tibetan identity. The event came in response to China’s so-called “Law on Promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress,” passed on March 12, 2026, and set to implement on July 1, 2026.

With strong participation from students, every stroke of the pen carried a powerful message: Tibet’s heritage will not be silenced.

The situation in Kashi township is described by locals as “extremely tense” and demands immediate international attention and action. With
communications cut, arrests ongoing, and movement heavily restricted, villagers express fear for
the safety of family members and uncertainty about what may follow.
Silence and inaction will only enable further environmental devastation and human rights violations in Tibet.

Day 3 and 4
Tibet advocacy alliance-India meeting with Honourable Members of Parliament from various political parties were deeply encouraging. Despite differences in party ideologies and political perspectives, every MP expressed serious concern over China’s border incursions and genuine sympathy regarding the issue of Tibetan colonial boarding schools, recognising the grave threat they pose to the preservation of our identity.
We sincerely thank each Member of Parliament for their valuable time and for listening to our key concerns with such understanding and support.
