Growing Seed participated in the Indigenous Art and Craft Exhibition held as part of the 4th International Heritage Fest 2025 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala from 20th to 26th November 2025.

At the exhibition, we proudly showcased a wide range of products crafted by our SHG didis, trained under various Growing Seed projects, along with quality products from our Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs). The event provided an excellent platform to highlight the skills, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit of our rural women and farmers.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, Yuva Vikash Kendra and NABARD for nominating us to this prestigious event. We also thank all stakeholders, fellow delegates from across the country, and participants from neighbouring nations for their warm collaboration and support in making the event a grand success.

Together, we continue to empower communities and celebrate our rich heritage.

We are delighted to share that Growing Seed, with the generous support of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) under the PND scheme, has successfully set up a Coffee Common Facility Centre (CFC) equipped with modern coffee processing machinery at Soilapi, Kailashahar, Unakoti, Tripura.

For many years, coffee farmersโ€”especially from tribal communitiesโ€”have been cultivating coffee under the guidance of the Indian Coffee Board. However, due to the absence of a local processing centre, they were unable to get fair prices for their produce.

To address this long-standing challenge, Growing Seed stepped forward and established the CFC, which will now be operated by a farmer-led collective, Darser FIG. This will open new doors for better value addition, higher income, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for local farmers.

We are also proud to share that during the event, we launched our new coffee brandโ€”โ€œUnakoti Heritage Coffeeโ€โ€”with the hands of the dignitaries.

On 15 November 2025, Growing Seed proudly inaugurated Manusiri Farmers Producer Company Ltd., a new FPC promoted by Growing Seed and supported by NABARD, Tripura RO.
The company aims to unite farmers for collective action and strengthen their livelihoods through better opportunities, market access, and enterprise development.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of: Shri Sudhanshu Das, Honโ€™ble Minister of ARDD, Fisheries & SC Welfare, GoT, Shri Amalendu Das, Sabhadhipati, Unakoti Zilla Parishad, Shri Diganta Kumar Das, DGM, NABARD Tripura RO, Along with officials, LDM-Unakoti, Dy. Director ARDD-Unakoti, TGB RM, DDM NABARD, Growing Seed, and the proud shareholder members of the FPC.

As part of this special occasion, new products were launched, including โ€œSidol Chatniโ€โ€”a fermented fish cooked productโ€”and a range of packed dry fish. Share certificates were also distributed to the members.

It was a highly successful event, and we are grateful for the overwhelming support and appreciation received from all dignitaries and stakeholders.

Growing Seed expresses sincere thanks to NABARD for their unwavering support and to all partners and farmers for their active involvement in making this initiative a success.

On 28th October 2025, we successfully organized the Project Monitoring and Review Committee (PMIC) meeting under the project โ€œPromotion and Formation of a New Farmers Producer Organisation at Dasda, North Tripuraโ€, supported by NABARD and implemented by Growing Seed.

This meeting was part of the regular monitoring of the formed FPO โ€” Deo Valley Farmers Producer Company Ltd. The session was attended by DDM, NABARD (North Tripura), Branch Manager, TGB Dasda, representatives from various line departments, Growing Seed officials, and the CEO & Board of Directors of Deo Valley FPC Ltd.
We are pleased to share that the FPOโ€™s progress is moving smoothly, and the PMRC reviewed and recommended several strategies for its continued growth and sustainability.

On the same day, Growing Seed officials also participated in a Regional Seminar on Ginger and Black Pepper, organized by the Spice Board, Agartala BO, for the members of Deo Valley FPC Ltd. The programme was highly informative and valuable for our farmer members who are actively engaged in spice cultivation and processing. This initiative will further encourage and strengthen their participation in spice-based enterprises.

On 25th and 27th October 2025, officials from Growing Seed, along with DDM NABARD and the owner of Nunsei Foods Pvt. Ltd., visited Manusiri Farmers Producer Company Ltd. to review their ongoing activities and explore future farming opportunities.

During the visit, the team interacted with the farmers, inspected ponds and fields, and assessed the progress made under the FPO initiative. We are delighted to share that Manusiri FPC is performing as per expectations, showing promising growth and commitment.

With continued guidance and collective effort, we are confident that the FPC members will further enhance their farming practices, productivity, and livelihoods in the days ahead.

On 16th October 2025, a team from the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, accompanied by the Lead District Manager (North Tripura) and DDM, NABARD (North Tripura), held an insightful discussion with Growing Seed.

The objective of the visit was to study institutional credit systems, including Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), and related financial mechanisms.

As an active organization promoting JLGs in the district, Growing Seed had the privilege to interact with the expert team, share experiences, and gain valuable insights on strengthening rural credit linkages.

The visiting team also explored farmersโ€™ fields of JLG beneficiaries supported by Growing Seed in North Tripura, witnessing firsthand the impact of credit access on sustainable livelihoods.
