Krishnagiri Government Collaboration: A collective action plan was developed with the DSWO, Krishnagiri, to strengthen coordination through block-level action committees and a district-level coordination committee meeting at least once every two months, focusing on reducing teenage pregnancy, supporting widows through Welfare Board enrolment, strengthening IC awareness among shoe and garment workers, conducting ToT programmes on IC, undertaking joint field visits, and submitting a memorandum to the District Collector advocating for Labour Department involvement in monitoring Internal Committees on 28th August 2026

Thozhi Federation – Tirchy District Convenor met with the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) on 13th August 2026 to discuss collaborative efforts towards strengthening Internal Committee (IC/ICC) awareness and implementation.

The meeting brought together the Thozhi Federation and member organizations to explore joint initiatives, improve coordination with the Government Department, and promote safer and more supportive workplaces for women.

We look forward to continued joint collaboration and collective action with the District Social Welfare Department and our member organizations to strengthen awareness, prevention, and response mechanisms related to workplace safety.

Together, we can build stronger systems for women’s rights, dignity, safety, and empowerment. 🌱

It has been suggested that...
1. Women economic development schemes.
2. Widow welfare schemes
3. Under Posco,PoSH and Domestic violence issues.
4. IC awareness and trainings.
To stratagise, it has been concluded that, co ordination committee can be formed and meet once in two or three month to analyse the schemes delivered , engagement of programs and plan for forth coming.
