Tsering Tashi was born in Manali and pursued education until Class 10 from TCV Selakui, and then completed his Class 12 from TCV school Bylakuppe. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi and after which he spent a year as a casual student at College for Higher Tibetan Studies.

"I worked as a volunteer at the Department of Home, which was primarily involved in documentation tasks, assisting in accounts with record-keeping of procurement of fixed assets and various FDs, and coordinating the YES VEF Scholarship program under the Welfare Section. I came to know about the Tibet Corps program through a friend, and I have found this is an excellent opportunity to serve CTA. During my three months service, I gained, learned, and insight about CTA. My family was also excited and supportive of my decision to join the Tibet Corps. Unfortunately, I could not continue my service due my personal reasons; however, I would like to thank everyone for being so awesome, and I hope to return one way or another to serve His Holiness The Dalai Lama and the people of Tibet in the near future."

Dawa Choezom was born in Tibet. She did her schooling at Tibetan Homes Mussoorie and then completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Political Science at MSU Baroda.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to each and every member of the Tibet Corps program for this incredible program that has provided us with an exceptional experience and valuable education about the Central Tibetan Administration. Undoubtedly,
Tibet Corps has always had a legacy of great work and has consistently provided an excellent platform for both students from abroad and India to gain valuable working experience in the Central Tibetan Administration. I volunteered for three months under the Department of Home, and this experience has taught me numerous valuable lessons. The staff members warmly welcomed us and made us feel equally important, enriching a sense of belonging among the volunteers. As volunteers, our primary task was documentation, particularly focused on E-filing to facilitate easier document searches for the staff. Our administrator displayed great generosity and understanding, encouraging us to apply what we had learned in our respective fields. Moreover, during my three-month volunteer experience, the most significant lesson I learned was the value of respect. While I gained heartfelt knowledge in terms of work-related skills, it was the realization of the importance of treating others with respect and dignity that truly resonates with me. This personal takeaway has highlighted the significance of maintaining respect in every aspect of life, regardless of the field or circumstances."

In the last three months, I had a chance to engage with the Tibetan community which was a new experience for me. Serving and contributing in our own Tibetan community brings a unique and profound sense of fulfillment. I learned a lot of things which I was not aware of earlier. I got to learn in terms of communication, gained self-confidence and most importantly, I am now well informed on the structure and functions of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to Tibetcorps for this opportunity and I am thankful to be part of this."

It's a great opportunity for me to deal with Department of Health's project beneficiaries at grass-root level. I have been visiting chronic patients at their homes and psychologically educating the family members of patients, giving them mental health awareness programs along with the general public, students, and community leaders. Assisting Telepsychiatry sessions every Wednesday and engaging the Counselling supervision session every Thursday with the Mental health nurses of the settlements. "This job has given me a unique opportunity to contribute to the cause of Tibetan rights and freedoms. As the social media coordinator for vtag_tibetadvocacy accounts, I am responsible for managing the social media presence of the organization, and I take pride in engaging with our followers on various platforms. Additionally, as the coordinator for VTAG Indian region, I work closely with other regional coordinators to ensure the smooth functioning of our advocacy efforts and upcoming events. I chose TibetCorps because it provides an excellent platform for young Tibetans to work and understand the mechanism of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). I first learned about this program in 2019, and since then, it has always been in my plan to work in CTA through Tibet Corps. What I love about this program is that it helps to reduce the gap that's building between the younger generation and our community. It's a great opportunity for young Tibetans to gain hands-on experience, which can be incredibly valuable in building a career in public service and related fields."
