BLOODLINE at ISM, Dhanbad is a voluntary student society with a mission of tying the whole country by a blood link so that no one ever faces any problems at times of blood requirements. The society caters to requests for blood donations ranging from normal blood loss cases to life saving emergency conditions & busts myths around blood donation by creating awareness among the masses. Most of our ac
tivities on blood donation awareness, street plays, blood donation camps happen in and around Dhanbad region with the base at ISM Dhanbad. We have a database that compiles names, contacts and blood groups of almost every student, teaching faculty, staff members and administration personnel working at ISM & whenever a need arises, we contact the willing donor. We have shared this database to friends2support.org & indianblooddonors.com & we request you to visit the sites & register yourself. Apart from this basic work, we regularly organise NUKKAD NATAK (street plays) on Blood Donation Awareness at major mass gathering places in Dhanbad like at the Railway Station, city center, Big Bazar, Randheer Verma chawk, public and private schools etc. We also expand the awareness campaign in nearby villages...
Also, we have gained full cooperation & support of many associations working on sililar lines nearby; the most notable being Indian Red Cross Society Dhanbad, NACO Dhanbad, Voluntary Blood Donors' Association (VBDA), Dhanbad , Bhuli and Jamshedpur. We have invited VBDA Jamshedpur twice to our University to provide SELF DEVELOPMENT training to our volunteers, students and faculty members. We frequently organise Blood Donation Camps too in and outside ISM campus, depending upon the requirements of Blood Banks in Dhanbad. We have 60 volunteers at present, who are very dedicated to strengthen this cause & sincerely wish to bring a change in the society. We are looking forward to collaborate with enthusiasts from other colleges & then work together towards expanding the idea to the whole of our country.
