🌱 Tasar Plantation Initiative 2026–27 | Jharkhand 🌱

In the year 2026–27, a total of 4.66 lakh Asan and Arjun seedlings are being prepared in two locations in Jharkhand — Godda and Jamtara districts.

At Godda, nursery operations are progressing steadily. All seedbeds are ready, and 75,000 polybags have already been filled, with dibbling scheduled to begin shortly. 🌿

This year, around 350 hectares of land have been successfully mobilized for Tasar host tree plantation across the state, marking a significant step towards strengthening the tasar ecosystem and enhancing rural livelihoods.

Tasar Development Foundation (TDF) is providing complete technical support for nursery preparation.

Together, we are moving forward with a shared vision of sustainable plantation, improved livelihoods, and a stronger tasar value chain in Jharkhand. 🌳✨

🌿 Restoring Nature, Strengthening Livelihoods 🌿

Tasar Development Foundation has taken a significant step towards sustainable land and water management in Banspal Block. A gabion structure has been constructed near the Ladapani plantation patch to control soil erosion and restore the surrounding ecosystem.

One old water body has been successfully revived through stone pitching and boundary strengthening, ensuring a reliable and sustainable source of irrigation for the plantation. By enhancing water retention and promoting groundwater recharge, this initiative will support healthier plantations, improve productivity, and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.

💧 These efforts will:
• Reduce soil erosion and land degradation
• Recharge soil moisture and groundwater levels
• Provide irrigation support to plantation areas

Through such nature-based solutions, we are creating a balance between environmental conservation and community development.
