🌿 Exposure Visit to Bhagamunda Silk Park 🧵
On 2nd July 2026 twenty-five tasar reelersfrom Manitira Village, Sukinda Block, Jajpur District participated in an exposure visit to Bhagamunda Silk Park, Harichandanpur, Kendujhar District.These reelers imparted 20 days reeling training by the support of DMF Jajpur.
The visit provided an excellent learning opportunity for the reelers to understand the complete Tasar silk value chain—from silk yarn to fabric production and finished silk products. They interacted with the park's technicians to gain practical knowledge about the operation and use of various silk processing machines, along with modern techniques involved in fabric manufacturing.
The participants also visited theTasar silk sales outlet, where they learned about product presentation, marketing, and the wide range of silk products available to consumers.
Such exposure visits play a vital role in enhancing the technical knowledge, confidence, and skills of reelers, enabling them to adopt improved practices and strengthen local value addition in the tasar silk sector.
