"Small Steps, Big Impact: The Anganwadi Hub Centre Awareness Session"

Team MILESTONE conducted an informative session at Anganwadi Hub Centre on 23rd March with the help of Anganwadi workers who supported us in all ways.

A better, smarter Kirti Nagar 🏡💙
The following topics were discussed:
🌱 Significance of child care during their early age and proper hygiene among women.
🏠 Creation of secure houses and POCSO, Good touch, and Bad Touch.
💻 Being secure in cyber space and intelligent application of AI technology.

The session was all about learning together, asking questions, and feeling more confident. 💛
A big shout-out to our Anganwadi workers. 🙏

"Voices That Matter: A Communication Skills Session"

A fun-filled and interactive session on life skills related to communication was organized on 11 February 2026 with the participation of some passionate interns from Aditi Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi. 💫

There were over 20+ girls who participated actively in *How the power of communication can help in boosting confidence, building relationships, and nurturing development* that allowed them to:
🗣️ Speak confidently
👂 Listen effectively
🤝 Make meaningful connections
✨ Develop themselves through improved communication skills

"Knowledge is the ultimate shield: A Session on Child Protection"

At MILESTONE, we believe that awareness isn’t just information—it’s empowerment. On March 18, 2026, we took a significant step toward a safer future by hosting a Child Protection Awareness Session for adolescent girls.

Led by the insightful Mrs. Madhuri from the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), New Delhi, the session equipped over 20 young girls with the tools they need to navigate the world with confidence.

The Highlights:
🚫 Identify: Recognizing the different forms of abuse.
🗣️ Speak: Breaking the silence and reporting without fear.
📞 Connect: Learning to use the 1098 Childline and trusted support systems.
🛡️ Protect: Understanding personal boundaries and child rights

✨Strengthening backbone of Delhi: Our Anganwadi Hub Centres✨

On March 23rd–24th, MILESTONE (NGO) hosted impactful training sessions at the Saheli Samanvay Kendras in Vishnu Garden, Delhi. These hubs are central to the Delhi Government’s mission for women's socio-economic empowerment.

Expert trainers from MILESTONE (NGO) led the programs, equipping over 100 local women, girls, and Anganwadi workers with essential skills for the modern world.

🔹 Training Highlights:
*Health: Hygiene essentials, Menstrual Hygiene Management and the "First 1000 Days" of childcare.
*Protection: POCSO awareness, Safe & Unsafe touch and Child Rights.
*Digital Era: Navigating AI safely and digital literacy.

"Building the Next Generation of Social Change Makers! 🚀"

On March 24th, MILESTONE (NGO) visited Sri Venkateshwara College (DU) for a successful Campus Placement Drive. We engaged with bright students to share our mission of empowering marginalized communities through education, health, and skill-building.

Highlights of the Drive:
✅ Awareness: Discussed our core programs, including Project Pathshala, with students and faculty.
✅ Interviews: Evaluated passionate candidates on their community engagement, advocacy, and field-work experience.
✅ Selection: We are proud to welcome new interns to our project management, content creation, and outreach teams!

🌸 Women’s Day Mega Camp 2026 🌸

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, MILESTONE (NGO), in collaboration with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DLSA), successfully organized a Women’s Day Mega Camp to bring essential services directly to the community.

✨ The camp focused on empowerment, awareness, and accessibility, ensuring that women and families received support where it matters most.

🔹 Key Services Provided:
✔️ Free medical checkups & health consultations
✔️ Legal awareness & free legal aid
✔️ Aadhaar update assistance
✔️ E-Shram card registrations
✔️ Ayushman Bharat card support
✔️ Menstrual hygiene awareness & sanitary pad distribution

The camp witnessed active participation from the community, with around 350+ people benefiting from healthcare, legal guidance, and welfare services.

👏 A big thank you to our volunteers, trainees, and partner organizations whose efforts made this initiative impactful and meaningful.

💪 Together, we continue to work towards empowered women and stronger communities.

Clean water is not just a necessity, it is the foundation of good health and dignity.

On the occasion of World Water Day, MILESTONE with FANSA and Vishwa Yuvak Kendra organized an engaging awareness session at Peshwa Camp, Gole Market, New Delhi centered on the theme “Clean Water and Good Health.” The event highlighted the critical link between safe water, sanitation, and overall well-being.

The discussions focused on essential yet often overlooked aspects such as menstrual hygiene, proper handwashing techniques, and personal hygiene practices. These conversations aimed to break taboos, promote healthy habits, and empower adolescents with the knowledge to make informed choices in their daily lives.

Did you know? Around 2 billion people globally still lack access to safely managed drinking water, and nearly 3.6 billion people do not have access to safely managed sanitation services. Poor hygiene practices contribute to the spread of infections, while simple handwashing with soap can reduce diarrheal diseases by up to 40%. Additionally, inadequate menstrual hygiene management continues to impact the health, dignity, and school attendance of millions of adolescent girls.

More than 60 adolescent girls and women participated in the event actively with great enthusiasm, making it an interactive and impactful learning experience.

Together, we move one step closer to building a healthier, more aware community.

A special Life Skills Session was successfully conducted at MILESTONE for youth girls by interns from Aditi Mahavidhyalya, University of Delhi.
The session focused on introducing them to the concept of paper products and helping them understand how simple ideas can turn into opportunities.

The aim of the session was to build confidence, improve communication skills, and nurture basic entrepreneurial abilities among the girls.

We also spoke about the importance of discipline in life — how it plays a key role in achieving goals, managing time effectively. The girls actively participated and shared their thoughts.

Day 3 of 9th edition of – Exposure cm Capacity Building Training Programme at Sevagram, Wardha was all about learning from the ground—through exposure visits to inspiring farms and community-led projects.

The day began with a visit to Thangavel Dates and Dragon Fruit Farm followed by a River Revival & Check Dam Site visit, an impactful initiative by Design for Change. Here participants learned about water conservation, sustainable ecosystems, and the powerful role local communities—especially students.

The group then travelled to Shri Bhendare Farm at Salai Pevat, where they enjoyed a wholesome farm lunch and visited the papaya farm.

The day concluded with visits to the Seed Bank and a Demonstration Plot, reinforcing the importance of seed conservation and practical learning in sustainable agriculture. Witnessing natural farming in action gave everyone valuable insights into eco-friendly methods that nurture soil health and support sustainable food systems.
