The St. Stephen's North-East Society The Official page of The St. Stephen's Northeast Society. The St. Stephen’s Northeast Society aims to promote Northeast India's diverse culture.

It strives to create an environment where people from all parts of India can learn about the Northeast and immerse themselves in the diversity of the region. We do this by organizing talks and discussions on a variety of topics related to the region, publishing our journal Orchid, and hosting annual events such as Unicolor, Northeast Lunch, and so on.

Greetings from the Literary Department of The St.Stephen’s North-East Society.

It is our immense pleasure to present to you the Eleventh Edition of Orchid (2025-26), the Annual Journal of our society. The theme chosen for this year is “The Heart of the Hills as found in the Handloom, Music and Garment”. Through this year’s edition, we tried to reflect on the rich cultural diversity of the North-East.

We came for the community, stayed for the people, and left with way too many photos, inside jokes, and stories we’ll be retelling for years. 🪄
