What happens when first-time entrepreneurs finally find a stage that believes in them?

Something shifts. Confidence replaces hesitation. Ideas find voice. And possibilities begin to look real.

SSE India recently marked a significant milestone — the closing of the Social Start-Up Fellowship Programme in Uttarakhand, supported by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited.

At Dehradun, during the event hosted by Mukhyamantri Udyamshala Yojana, our Fellows stepped into a new space — not just to showcase products, but to own their entrepreneurial identity.

For many, this was their first-ever public pitch.
The first time standing behind their idea.
The first time being heard.

And that changes everything.

From handmade innovations to grassroots business models, the room was filled with raw ambition, local wisdom, and quiet courage. More importantly, it was a safe space — where entrepreneurs could experiment, articulate, and grow without fear.

We are also proud to share that SSE India signed an MoU with Mukhyamantri Udyamshala Yojana, strengthening our commitment to build and support the next generation of entrepreneurs in Uttarakhand.

The presence of our Chairperson, Indraneel Roy Choudhury, and Hon. Minister of Rural Development, Bharat Singh Chudhary, added both encouragement and intent to this shared vision.

Because real change doesn’t begin when entrepreneurs succeed.
It begins the moment they believe they can.

If you’re looking to support, collaborate, or build with India’s emerging social entrepreneurs — this is where the journey begins.

We celebrate the courage, creativity and leadership of women who are building change where it matters most — in their communities.

At SSE India, we are proud to work with inspiring women fellows from Uttarakhand who are turning ideas into enterprises and challenges into opportunities.

Nandini is blending science and Ayurveda through Himalayan Twacha, creating natural skincare rooted in Himalayan traditions.
Daya, co-founder of HIMDAYA, is building livelihoods for rural women through traditional Himalayan food products.
Shikha is championing local enterprise and community-led solutions from the mountains.
Stuti Pant, through SRISTUTI, is reviving Himalayan art traditions like Aipan while creating opportunities for artisans.
Laxmi Malara, founder of BEIBAC, is redefining fashion with inclusive clothing that empowers persons with disabilities to dress independently.

Each of these women represents something powerful — courage to begin, commitment to community, and the vision to create sustainable change.

Their journeys remind us that when women lead enterprises, they don’t just build businesses — they strengthen communities, preserve culture, and create pathways for others to thrive.

Today we celebrate their leadership and the many more women changemakers shaping the future of the Himalayas.

Today, SSE India completes 10 years—a decade defined by those who chose difficult paths to create lasting change. To mark this milestone, we are revealing a commemorative logo that embodies our journey and our future.
This new mark is a tribute to the “Architecture of Impact.” Over the last ten years, we have learned that impact isn’t just about programs; it’s about building ecosystems, securing patient capital, and treating people as the essential infrastructure of change. This logo represents our transition from a decade of learning to a decade of renewed responsibility.
It is a statement of intent: to continue designing for durability and building institutions that stand the test of time.
