As Big Butterfly Month comes to a close, we’re looking back at our BBM field orientation where 60+ WWF volunteers came together to explore the world of butterflies.🐛✨🦋

The session covered butterfly identification, their role in ecosystems and why conserving them matters. Volunteers also learnt how to use citizen science platforms like iNaturalist to document their sightings and contribute observations that can help build a better understanding of butterfly diversity and distribution.

Calling volunteers for the Monsoon Biodiversity Survey at Asita East DDA Park!
Having wrapped up our summer survey, we’re back to see how the park transforms with the season.

Volunteers will work in teams to document flora and fauna, record species observations, and assess ecological indicators across the park.

Monsoon brings a shift in species activity and growth, offering a whole new picture of the park’s biodiversity: essential to building a complete, season-by-season understanding of this urban ecosystem.

Project launch date: September 6th 2026

Observed each year on 29 July, gives us an opportunity to celebrate one of India’s most iconic species.🐅

Across the country, WWF-India and its State Offices marked Global Tiger Day through a range of education and community engagement activities. Volunteers, educators, students, communities, and citizens came together through interactive sessions, creative activities, teacher workshops, street plays, and outreach programmes.

These activities created opportunities to learn more about tigers and the challenges they face. They also encouraged people to explore how they can contribute to tiger conservation and the protection of the habitats that sustain them.

This opportunity is for citizen birders, ornithologists, budding wildlife photographers and naturalists alike! Step out, explore your surroundings and record your vulture sightings on the eBird App.

Keep your eyes to the skies! Every observation adds valuable data to conservation efforts nationwide.

Desertification and drought don’t begin in the desert, but with the choices we make about food and farming.🍽️🌾

Millets, seasonal produce and indigenous grains offer a different path: drought-resilient, low-water crops that nourish soils, support biodiversity, and strengthen climate resilience.

Sometimes the solutions to our biggest environmental challenges are already on our plates.

Join the campaign by making more conscious food choices. Post your plate and tag on your story!
