I am a Fashion Designer studied from UK and I run an Export Firm which deals in Holistic Items and our main Buyers include Harrods and M & S. In my view poor women’s growth, development and employment occurs when they have work and income security and food security. It also occurs when they are healthy, able to access child care and have a roof over their heads. A happy, healthy and creative woman
’s rights are protected and honoured in a society which is built on respect for dignity, justice and equity for all. Through Help Foundation, a Registered NGO, we work for women Empowerment by way of teaching skills and latest techniques in manufacturing industry. and also help them in getting employment. We help women who have entrepreneurial talent to set up bakeries, stitching units, etc. The products they make are sold through this NGO through food exhibitions, melas, carnivals, etc. In the next phase we intend to market their products in UK
The products these groups make are 100% Organic. We have trained ladies in quality control who do the supervision of the same during production. After taking out the cost, the profits from the sales are being distributed to the entrepreneurs and the groups. We have helped in setting up such units in Neemrana and Behror in Rajasthan, Sankheda near Baroda and Delhi. For a country whose population of women alone is more than the total population of many other countries, India fares low where their treatment is concerned. The number of sexual abuse and domestic violence cases against women clearly shows that women in India do not enjoy even basic human rights. Given such a scenario, it becomes clear that women charities have an important role to play. Please lend your support to NGOs working for women today. Through this medium we expect our well-wishers to support our NGO.
