When Volunteering Becomes a Shared Experience

Some visits leave you with more than photographs and memories—they leave you with a renewed sense of what meaningful volunteering can look like.

Today, we welcomed the team from Artech Infosystem Private Limited to NAB Delhi. What stood out was not just the time they gave, but the openness with which they chose to experience our work. They spent time interacting with the children, listened to their stories, explored the IT Section, and stepped into the Dark Room Experience to better understand the role accessibility plays in everyday life. They also explored Srijan, NAB Delhi’s initiative featuring a range of beautiful handcrafted products made by persons with multiple disabilities.

What made the day even more special was the effort behind their presence. Many of the volunteers travelled from different parts of the country, from miles away, simply to be here. That commitment speaks volumes about the value they place on giving their time, learning, and connecting with the community.

For us, the most meaningful part was seeing genuine conversations unfold—questions being asked, perspectives being shared, and moments of connection happening naturally.

Thank you to the entire Artech Infosystem team for showing us that volunteering is not only about giving back. Sometimes, it is about being present, learning from one another, and leaving with a little more understanding than you came with.

The tutorial covers the key features and navigation process, helping users understand the app and make use of its services more independently.

Celebrating the Spirit of Independence Day at Sarojini Triloknath Home for the Blind 🇮🇳

On 12 August 2026, NAB - Sarojini Triloknath Home for the Blind, Dwarka celebrated the spirit of Independence Day through a vibrant celebration of talent, confidence and inclusion.

The day was filled with beautiful performances by participants of different ages and abilities, including trainees from the Udaan Crisis Intervention Programme. From heartfelt plays and energetic dance performances to melodious singing, each performance reflected the joy of participation and the spirit of freedom.

One of the most special moments was seeing our children with multiple disabilities take the stage with confidence and grace. Their performances reminded us that talent knows no age, ability or limits.

The celebration was further enriched by the presence of our esteemed guests, whose support and encouragement made the occasion even more meaningful.

At NAB Delhi, we believe that Independence is also about creating opportunities for every individual to participate, express themselves and be heard. This celebration was a beautiful reflection of that spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came together to make the day memorable. 🇮🇳

A Birthday Celebration That Became a Shared Celebration

On 11 August 2026 NAB Delhi welcomed the Damco Solutions volunteer team for a warm and joyful day with our beneficiaries.

What made the visit especially meaningful was how it began. Damco Solutions asked their employees how they would like to celebrate their birthdays, and one employee chose to spend his special day at NAB Delhi. What started as one person’s birthday wish became an opportunity to share happiness with many others.

The day was filled with music, dance, conversations, cake cutting, laughter and plenty of cheerful moments. The volunteers also explored our IT Unit and Dark Room Experience, getting a glimpse into our work and the experiences of persons with visual impairment.

The team also spent time at Café Beyond Eyes, our inclusive café where persons with visual impairment independently manage day-to-day operations.

A heartfelt thank you to the Damco Solutions team for choosing to celebrate in a way that created joy beyond just one birthday.

Because sometimes, the best birthday gift is the happiness you share with others.
