Deloitte Volunteers at NAB Delhi

On 19 September 2026, NAB Delhi welcomed volunteers from Deloitte for a day of meaningful engagement and learning.

As part of their volunteering hours, the team contributed to audiobook recording, helping create accessible content for persons with visual impairment. They also visited NAB Delhi’s IT Unit, gaining an insight into the role of technology in supporting accessibility.

The volunteers further experienced the Beyond Eyes immersive dark room, including a blindfolded activity that encouraged them to navigate through an environment using their other senses. The experience offered an opportunity to better understand some of the accessibility challenges faced by persons with visual impairment.

From contributing to accessible resources to experiencing inclusion first-hand, the engagement brought together volunteering, learning and empathy.

NAB Delhi thanks the Deloitte team for dedicating their time and making their volunteering hours purposeful.

🌐 Advancing Rehabilitation Through Digital Accessibility & Assistive Technology

NAB Delhi was pleased to contribute to a two-day Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) Programme organised under the aegis of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), in collaboration with CRC Lucknow and NAB Delhi.

Held on 19 September 2026 at Sarosa Bharosa, Uttar Pradesh, the programme brought together RCI-registered Special Educators and rehabilitation professionals to explore the role of technology in strengthening accessible and inclusive rehabilitation services.

As part of the programme, Mr. Prashant Ranjan Verma, General Secretary, NAB Delhi, conducted a session on Digital Accessibility, Assistive Technology and NAB Delhi’s technology-led initiatives, featuring:

🔹 Sugamya Bharat App – reporting and addressing accessibility-related concerns.
🔹 Shravan IVR Audio Library – accessible audio-based information and learning resources.
🔹 ADITI AI WhatsApp Chatbot – accessible information on sexual and reproductive health.
🔹 Divya AI IVR Bot – information on government schemes and entitlements for persons with disabilities.

The session highlighted how AI, IVR, digital accessibility and assistive technologies can complement rehabilitation services and expand access to information, resources and opportunities.

Through such engagements, NAB Delhi continues to promote technology-driven accessibility and innovation for a more inclusive society.

Creating Experiences Beyond the Classroom

A day of exploration can become a lasting memory, especially when it brings new experiences, connections and opportunities to learn.

Students from NAB Delhi’s Centre for Multiple Disabilities (CMD) and Preparatory Unit enjoyed an enriching outing to the National Rail Museum, Delhi, accompanied by volunteers from Expedia Group.

The visit offered our students an opportunity to explore a new space, engage with others and experience the joy of learning beyond their everyday environment. More than an outing, it was a meaningful experience that encouraged participation, confidence and social interaction.

At NAB Delhi, we believe that inclusion extends beyond education and training—it is also about creating opportunities for every individual to experience, explore and participate.

Breaking Barriers Through Inclusive Sports ⛳

Golf, a sport we don’t often associate with persons with visual impairment—but this experience showed just how possible it can be.

On 9, 10 & 14 September 2026, our team members Inderpreet Singh, Coordinator, Helpline & Assistant Technology Trainer 🔹 Shubham Kumar – Assistive Technology Trainer and trainee Harkiran Kaur took part in the “Golf for All” Inclusive Golf Training Camp.

From learning the basics of grip, stance, putting and chipping to experiencing the buddy system, every session was about learning, trusting and giving it a shot—literally!

More than a new sport, it was a chance to step outside the usual, build confidence and simply enjoy being on the course.

Thank you to Golf for All and Coach Sardar Jasjit Singh Ji for making the experience truly inclusive.

Because sometimes, breaking barriers starts with simply stepping onto the course.
