WHO ARE WE? Our mission is to ensure that the Senior Citizens get a healthy social, physical and mental lifestyle, best medical facilities, and education on how to use the technology we have today for their benefit(For e.g.- Internet, Net-banking,etc.) We also focus on spreading awareness among the people with regards to the Maintenance an

d Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizen’s Act 2008. The main highlights of the Act are as follows:

1. MAINTENANCE OF PARENTS AND SENIOR CITIZENS
2. ESTABLISHMENT OF OLD AGE HOMES.
3. PROVISIONS FOR MEDICAL CARE OF SENIOR CITIZEN.
4. PROTECTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY OF SENIOR CITIZEN.
5. OFFENCES AND PROCEDURE FOR TRIAL. WHAT ARE THE WAYS WE USE TO HELP THE AGED?

1. From urban to rural areas, our NGO has successfully conducted over a 100+ Seminars and Sessions since the establishment of WSEDP, where we discuss the problems the Senior Citizens face, their causes and their solutions. A few points that are a part of discussion are as follows:

a. Ageing and Generation Gap. b. Problems of Ageing. c. Needs of the Elderly. d. Needs and problems of Adolescence. e. Difference in Attitude, Culture and Values between the Aged and the Adolescents. f. Role of family members towards the Aged. g. Role of Teachers, Counselors, Students and Communities in strengthening the Inter-generational Bonding.


2. Modalities:
The modalities for the Sessions would include participatory approach in the programmed with Interactive Sessions, Panel Discussions, Group Discussion, Role Play, Story Telling.


3. We also have Old Age Homes and Daycare Centers where we provide the elderly a place to socialize and educate them with the modern technology by conducting group activities. That is just a brief description of who we are,what we do and how do we do it .. We urge the young generation of India to help us in helping the hands that worked hard to give us what we have today .. please donate anything from money, to a piece of furniture, clothing, books, medicines or any other daily use household item, etc. Anything that you can afford to help the needs of the Elderly and Destitute People. HELP US .. HELP THEM ..
