We changed the format & and the game changed with it.

No 7v7. Only 2v2 → 4v4 → 6v6, built around mixed-gender buddy pairs across all 16 teams.

More connection. More confidence. More equal touches on the disc for girls and boys.

This is what intentional design for gender equity looks like. 🥏

Bridging the Gaps of gender ❤️

As gender training partners, we spent today preparing coaches for Friday’s Bridging the Gaps Ultimate Frisbee hat tournament, Day 1 of the Y-Ultimate Invitational, bringing together 250+ kids for a first-of-its-kind experience on and off the field.

Grateful to be part of the Bengaluru Roundtable and this growing coalition that is reimagining the role of sport in India’s development journey.

It was an honour to have our Director, Liz Haynes, contribute as part of the working group, where she spoke about the critical role of capacity building for sports coaches, not just as a model of inclusion, but as a powerful tool for equity, safety, and social change in India.

What did coaches enjoy most during Lv2 training?

The chance to practice real-life conversations.

From talking with parents about periods, puberty, and relationships, coaches explored sample dialogues that build confidence, trust, and understanding.
