Strengthening Nursing Care. Improving Childhood Cancer Outcomes!
CanKids KidsCan, in collaboration with the Department of Pediatric Surgical Superspecialties, SGPGIMS, Lucknow, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on "Nursing Care in Childhood Cancer" on 27 June 2026!
The programme brought together nursing professionals and healthcare experts to strengthen knowledge, clinical skills, and confidence in delivering comprehensive paediatric oncology care.
The CME was inaugurated by Dr. Devendra Gupta Chief Medical Superintendent, and Dr. Rajesh Harshvardhan, Medical Superintendent, SGPGIMS, who emphasized the indispensable role nurses play in ensuring safe, compassionate, and holistic care for children with cancer.
The scientific sessions covered essential aspects of childhood cancer care, including diagnosis, chemotherapy protocols, safe chemotherapy administration, management of treatment-related complications, infection prevention, nutrition, psychosocial support, and effective communication with children and families.
