Thalassemics India, along with Thalassemia Patients Advocacy Group, hosted Empowering Thalassemics 2.0 at Le Meridien, New Delhi, bringing together Thal Warriors, families, doctors, caregivers and supporters.

We were honoured to have Sh. Rajat Sharma as our Chief Guest, whose words of encouragement and assurance to take the cause of Thalassemia forward gave renewed hope to everyone present.

Two inspiring Thal Warriors, Chitradeep and Dr. Vandana, were honoured with the prestigious Santosh & Arjun Dev Taneja (SADT) Awards for their strength, resilience and inspiring journeys.

Thalassemics India along with Thalassemia Patients Advocacy Group, hosted Empowering Thalassemics 2.0 at Le Meridien, New Delhi, bringing together Thal Warriors, families, doctors, caregivers and supporters.
Five adult Thalassemics were awarded scholarships of ₹1,00,000 each, 10 Thalassemics received laptops, while others were supported with free chelation medicines and blood leukocyte filters. Two Thal Warriors were also honoured with the Santosh & Arjun Dev Taneja (SADT) Awards.

Thalassemia Warriors Honored By Rajat Sharma : रजत शर्मा ने थैलेसीम...

Some voices need to be heard. Some causes need champions.
Thalassemics India along with Thalassemia Patients Advocacy Group hosted Empowering Thalassemics 2.0 today at Le Meridien Hotel, New Delhi.
5 adult thalassemics who have excelled in different walks of life were given scholarship of Rs one lakh each. 10 thalassemics who have shown great initiative were gifted Laptops. Some were given free chelation medicines & blood leukocyte filters. Two of the thalassemics were conferred with SADT awards Rs 50,000/- each.

We were honoured to have with us Sh. Rajat Sharma, renowned Journalist and the voice and anchor of the iconic show Aap Ki Adalat as our Chief Guest.
His words of support and motivation further empowered the Thal Warriors and all other Thalassemics present in the hall today.
He listened to their stories, their concerns, their requests and their appeals—with empathy and genuine interest. His assurance to take up the cause of thalassemia in a bigger way gave us a renewed hope and strength.

For every Thal Warrior fighting a lifelong battle, being heard matters. Being supported matters. Having an ally matters.

We are honoured to welcome Sh. Rajat Sharma as the Chief Guest at the Santosh & Arjun Dev Taneja Memorial Awards & Empowering Thal Warriors – Saksham Yodhas.

The event brings together a celebration of achievement, resilience, and opportunity, recognising individuals who have made a meaningful difference in the Thalassemia community and supporting Thalassemia warriors in their journey ahead.

Through scholarships, laptops, prosthetic support, and other forms of assistance, the initiative aims to help young Thalassemia warriors pursue their education, build their careers, and move closer to their aspirations.
We look forward to an inspiring gathering that celebrates accomplishments while creating opportunities for a brighter future.

On 8th August, nearly 800 patients and families came together at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, for the West Bengal State-Level Thalassemia HLA Screening & BMT Support Camp.

The camp facilitated HLA screening, donor and sibling matching, testing, and support for Bone Marrow Transplantation, bringing patients one step closer to timely and appropriate care.
A meaningful collaboration between Narayana Health, DKMS Foundation India, Rotary District 3291, Thalassemics India and dedicated doctors, volunteers and supporters.
Together, we continue to work towards a Thalassemia-free India.

Thalassemics India Helping Hands Project organised a Comprehensive Thalassemia Clinic on 26 July 2026 at Sir Gangaram Hospital India, New Delhi, providing multidisciplinary care to patients living with thalassemia.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. V. K. Khanna, Dr. Dinesh Kaul, Manas Kalra, Dr. Deepika Yadav, Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Dr. Deeksha S., Dr. Soorya P., and the entire Sir Ganga Ram Hospital team for their expertise and continued support.

The clinic supported patients from AIIMS, LNJP Hospital, DDU Hospital, St. Stephen’s Hospital, Sir Gangaram Hospital India, Kasturba Hospital, Hindu Rao Hospital, NDMC, Lady Hardinge Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital and RML Hospital.
Along with their clinical check ups, blood tests, investigations and other tests were done free of cost.
