Botswana – in Southern Africa – has about 70% of its territory part of the Kalahari Desert. 🇧🇼
The Kalahari Bushmen are an indigenous group staying in the Desert. One of the oldest human inhabitants of the region, they’re known for their traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
Here’s Amit Luthra, Founder-President of The Golf Foundation – always passionate about spreading the footprint of the Foundation – getting some Bushmen in Botswana to try their hand at golf 🏌️‍♀️🏌️

Shiksha Jain of stood 1st in Category B and 2nd Runner Up in Category AB (all categories) at the WAGR-recognized Golf Haryana Golden Greens Challenge 2025, held from 3rd to 6th June.
Message from her family: “It’s a proud moment for all of us, and we truly believe this would not have been possible without your constant guidance, support, and belief in her. Thank you so much, Sir — and sincere gratitude to The Golf Foundation for always standing behind young talent like her.”

Some truly amazing news!!!
Shubham Jaglan, a beneficiary and star, has just qualified for the Canadian PGA Tour. He now has a full Canadian PGA Tour Card and will get to play in all Canadian PGA tournaments.
Shubham’s story is incredible – from humble beginnings – a milkman’s son hailing from a small village called Israna near Panipat in Haryana, he has come a very, very long way. His prodigious golf talent has made him a multiple time Sub Junior and Junior world golf champion, along with winning numerous other tournaments all over. We hope the Canadian PGA Tour Card is just the beginning. His next step is aiming for the US Tour Q School.
Shubham, currently on a full golf scholarship in the University of South Florida, is a key member of the Southern Florida Golf team and had a NCAA Div 1 win just two months back.
All the very best to Shubham on his incredible journey and fantastic milestone. And the best for the future!

Samriddh Chand Thakur of won in his Category in the 20th Governor’s Cup Golf Tournament played at the Raj Bhavan Golf Course, Nainital.
He won in the Category of Junior Golfer 12-14 years.
