During the auspicious occasion of Shravani Mela 2026, the Rovers of Asansol District, Eastern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides rendered dedicated service at Jasidih Railway Station to assist pilgrims and passengers visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham.

Jasidih Railway Station serves as a major gateway for thousands of devotees travelling to Deoghar during the Shravani Mela. In view of the heavy rush of pilgrims, the Rovers actively participated in the service activities with discipline, dedication and a spirit of selfless service.

The Rovers assisted pilgrims with guidance and information, crowd management, passenger assistance and other support services at the station. They extended help to elderly persons, women, children and other pilgrims who required assistance, while also helping passengers navigate the station premises during periods of heavy congestion.

The service team worked in close coordination with the railway administration and other agencies engaged in managing the Shravani Mela rush. Their disciplined presence and courteous behaviour contributed to creating a safer, smoother and more comfortable environment for the visiting pilgrims.

The initiative reflects the fundamental values of Scouting and Guiding—Duty, Service, Discipline, Brotherhood and Helping Others. Through their active participation, the Rovers demonstrated that the spirit of Scouting extends beyond training and camps and finds meaningful expression through service to society.

The students of Government High School, Charoda, Pallari, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, along with the students of Government Middle School, Charoda, and the Rangers of the Open Ranger Team, Pallari, under the Chhattisgarh State Bharat Scouts and Guides, prepared handmade Rakhis for Indian soldiers.
The Rakhis were made using silk thread, wool, and beads as a symbol of their respect, gratitude, and affection for the soldiers. The students also wrote heartfelt letters conveying their best wishes for the soldiers' good health, happiness, and prosperity.
As part of the programme, the students formed a human chain in the shape of a Rakhi and paid tribute to the soldiers with a salute, expressing their patriotism and appreciation for their dedicated service to the nation.
छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य भारत स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स के अंतर्गत शासकीय उच्चतर माध्यमिक विद्यालय, चरौदा, पलारी, जिला बलौदाबाज़ार-भाटापारा के विद्यार्थियों, शासकीय माध्यमिक विद्यालय, चरौदा के विद्यार्थियों तथा ओपन रेंजर टीम, पलारी की रेंजर्स ने भारतीय सैनिकों के लिए अपने हाथों से सुंदर राखियाँ तैयार कीं।
इन राखियों के निर्माण में रेशमी धागे, ऊन एवं मोतियों का उपयोग किया गया। इस पहल के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने देश के सैनिकों के प्रति अपना सम्मान, स्नेह एवं कृतज्ञता व्यक्त की। विद्यार्थियों ने सैनिकों के नाम भावपूर्ण पत्र भी लिखे, जिनमें उनके उत्तम स्वास्थ्य, सुख, समृद्धि तथा सुरक्षित जीवन की मंगलकामनाएँ व्यक्त की गईं।
कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत विद्यार्थियों ने राखी के आकार में मानव श्रृंखला का निर्माण किया तथा सैनिकों को सलामी देकर उनके साहस, समर्पण एवं राष्ट्रसेवा के प्रति अपनी श्रद्धा और सम्मान प्रकट किया।

पीएम श्री केन्द्रीय विद्यालय, दुमका में 1 अगस्त 2026 को विश्व स्कार्फ दिवस का आयोजन स्काउट मास्टर एवं गाइड कैप्टन के निर्देशन में उत्साह एवं गरिमापूर्ण वातावरण में किया गया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में सेवा, अनुशासन, नेतृत्व, भाईचारे एवं राष्ट्रभक्ति की भावना को सुदृढ़ करना तथा उन्हें स्काउट-गाइड आंदोलन के आदर्शों से परिचित कराना था।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ स्काउट प्रार्थना के साथ हुआ। प्रार्थना के माध्यम से सभी स्काउट एवं गाइड विद्यार्थियों ने सेवा, अनुशासन तथा सदैव तत्पर रहने का संकल्प दोहराया।
प्रार्थना के उपरान्त श्री अखिलेश यादव, पीजीटी (हिन्दी), ने विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित किया। उन्होंने अपने प्रेरणादायी उद्बोधन में विश्व स्कार्फ दिवस के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए बताया कि स्काउट स्कार्फ केवल वर्दी का एक अंग नहीं, बल्कि सेवा, अनुशासन, समर्पण, समानता एवं विश्व बंधुत्व का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को स्काउट प्रतिज्ञा एवं नियमों का पालन करते हुए समाज और राष्ट्र की सेवा के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहने का संदेश दिया।
इसके पश्चात विद्यालय के प्रभारी प्राचार्य श्री नीरज झा, पीजीटी (अंग्रेज़ी), ने विद्यार्थियों को स्काउट स्कार्फ पहनाकर कार्यक्रम की मुख्य गतिविधि सम्पन्न कराई। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को स्काउट-गाइड के आदर्शों को अपने जीवन में अपनाने, अनुशासित रहने तथा समाज और राष्ट्र की सेवा के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहने की प्रेरणा दी।
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dumka, celebrated World Scout Scarf Day on 1 August 2026 under the guidance of the Scout Master and Guide Captain in a spirited and dignified atmosphere. The programme aimed to strengthen the values of service, discipline, leadership, brotherhood, and patriotism among students and to familiarize them with the ideals of the Scout and Guide Movement.
The programme commenced with the Scout Prayer, during which all Scout and Guide students reaffirmed their commitment to service, discipline, and the Scout motto of being "Always Ready."
Following the prayer, Shri Akhilesh Yadav, PGT (Hindi), addressed the students. In his inspiring speech, he highlighted the significance of World Scout Scarf Day, explaining that the Scout Scarf is not merely a part of the uniform but a symbol of service, discipline, dedication, equality, and world brotherhood. He encouraged the students to uphold the Scout Promise and Law and to remain ever ready to serve society and the nation.
Thereafter, Shri Neeraj Jha, In-charge Principal and PGT (English), ceremonially presented the Scout Scarves to the students, marking the main activity of the programme. He inspired the students to imbibe the ideals of Scouting and Guiding in their daily lives, remain disciplined, and always be prepared to serve society and the nation.
