Today, YMCA India had the privilege of hosting the Macquarie Group Foundation team for an inspiring visit centered around Project IYFutures, bringing together our National General Secretary, the IYF Team, and the incredible students & beneficiaries whose lives this project is touching every day.

The IYF team presented the Year 1 impact and learner outcomes, and shared an exciting roadmap for Year 2, following which the Macquarie team interacted directly with students, learning about their passions, aspirations, and how the project is helping them build new skills.

The best part of the day was hearing it straight from our students, who spoke with so much joy about how IYFutures has helped them grow through new skills, new confidence and a clearer path toward their dreams and seeing that joy reflected in our donors' faces was truly special. A huge thank you to Macquarie Group Foundation for their continued trust and support in empowering India's youth.

What happens when India’s incredible diversity meets the creativity of its young minds? You get Beyond Boundaries!

Sir George Williams Education Institute brought the spirit of India alive through a vibrant 2-Day Independence Day Celebration!
From powerful dialogues to energetic dances and soulful music, our students stepped into the spotlight to represent different states of India through art as part of the Beyond Boundaries Competition 2026, taking us on a journey through the colours, cultures, traditions, and stories that make India extraordinary.
And then came the moment to celebrate our stars! Our Gold & Silver Medalists were felicitated for their outstanding performances, creativity, confidence, and dedication.
The celebrations continued with a day filled with patriotism, pride, togetherness and the powerful spirit of India’s youth.
Because Independence is not just about freedom - it is about having the courage to express, the confidence to create, and the freedom to dream beyond boundaries.
One nation. Many cultures. Endless possibilities. This is the spirit of Beyond Boundaries.

On May 7, 2026, the National Council of YMCAs of India held a solemn commissioning ceremony for its newly elected Office Bearers for the 2026–2029 tenure. Led by National President Justice Kurian Joseph (Retd.), the leadership team includes Vice-Presidents Mr. K.S. Prem Anand, Mr. T. Suman Thyagaraj, and Ms. Mahima T. Agrawal, alongside Treasurer Dr. Peter Wilson Prabhakar. The service focused on a renewed commitment to the underprivileged, inspired by a reflection on Amos 5:24 and a moving tribute to the visionary legacy of Sir George Williams by YMCA - Sir George William Education Institute students.

In his presidential address, Justice Kurian Joseph (Retd.) urged the assembly to "abhor evil and cling to good," emphasizing that youth must be given a primary seat at the leadership table rather than just being observers. The ceremony, which featured greetings from the Presidents of the New Delhi YMCA and YWCA Delhi, concluded with a symbolic "Faith in Action" tree planting. This act served as a powerful testament to the Council’s dedication to growth, sustainability, and the empowerment of the next generation over the coming triennium.
