Established in 2010, LSDSS is India's first and leading patient advocacy group working for patients affected by Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs) like Gaucher Disease, Pompe Disease, Fabry Disease, Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS), Niemann-Pick Disease etc. Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs) are a group of approximately 45 rare genetic disorders caused by the deficiency of a specific enzyme in special

compartments (lysosomes) of the cells. Following are the most common types of LSDs found in India:

• Gaucher Disease
• Pompe Disease
• Fabry Disease
• Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS)
