2026

April 7 isn’t just a date - it’s a reminder that our well-being is deeply tied to the world around us. From clean air to safe food systems, every sustainable choice shapes public health outcomes.

This year’s theme, 'Together for Health: Stand with Science,' by the World Health Organization (WHO), puts a spotlight on the power of science and collaboration in safeguarding our future. Because real solutions don’t happen in silos - they happen when knowledge, innovation, and collective action come together.

Science is not just data, but as a force for impact - driving smarter policies, greener practices, and healthier communities.

🌱 Stronger science. Shared responsibility. Sustainable health for all.

CPCB data shows that the share of stubble burning in Delhi’s PM2.5 levels dropped to about 3–5% this winter, down sharply from previous years.

Despite this decline, the capital continued to see poor air quality during peak winter months.

Experts note that Delhi’s air pollution is influenced by multiple factors, including urban emissions and unfavourable weather conditions, alongside regional sources.

The trend highlights the progress made in reducing farm-fire impact and the need for a balanced, holistic approach to improving air quality across the region.

Stop spreading myths!

No new mining leases until a Sustainable Mining Management Plan is finalised for the entire Aravalli. The courts have been clear: the Aravalli’s geography and ecology are protected.

Keep Facts over fear.

Aravalli Protection: Let’s Put Facts First

Amid growing debate around the Aravalli Hills, it’s important to separate perception from policy.

Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav has clarified that mining eligibility is limited to just 0.19% of the total 1.44 lakh sq km Aravalli region.

Over 99.8% of the Aravallis remain preserved and protected.

This clarification makes one thing clear - there is no blanket relaxation, no dilution of safeguards, and no green signal for widespread mining. The revised definition aligns with scientific assessment and Supreme Court-approved processes, while continuing to protect one of India’s oldest and most fragile ecosystems.

Informed conversations are key to meaningful environmental action. Protecting the Aravallis requires facts, balance and long-term thinking - not misinformation.
