An incredibly prestigious roster of talent! Since the Legends of India Lifetime Achievement Awards began in 2002, they have clearly become a benchmark for excellence across Indian classical music, dance, theatre, and visual arts.

The past awardees - ranging from the legendary sarod maestro Padma Bhushan Buddhadev Dasgupta to the theatrical genius of Habib Tanvir, Zoya Sehgal and Badal Sarkar - reads like a "who’s who" of India's cultural heritage. Having the awards presented by luminaries like Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and others certainly adds to the weight of the honour.

This was indeed a celebrated moment for Legends of India Lifetime Achievement Awards where, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu conferred the award upon the legendary violinist T.N. Krishnan.

Following the ceremony, Prof. Krishnan requested Shri Naidu to stay and listen to his performance.. Despite the Vice President's tight schedule Shri Naidu graciously obliged, extending his stay by approximately an hour. This is the glimpse of the memorable performance.

The dialogue between Shubhendra Rao’s sitar and Pranshu Chaturlal’s tabla that morning at DLF grounds, Gurgaon did sound like an absolutely transcendent experience of the strings and rhythm in perfect dialogue.

There has always been something serene and spiritual about the Morning Ragas. On each such occasion dawn unfolds the depth while every rhythmic exchange echoes the richness of Hindustani classical tradition.

A throwback from the archives of 'Legends of India – Morning Ragas' that originated in 2016 and is still going strong.

International Mother Language Day 🤍

A day to honour the words that first shaped our thoughts, the lullabies that soothed us, and the stories that built our roots. Every mother tongue carries emotion, heritage, and identity — woven deeply into who we are.

India’s strength lies in its countless languages, each reflecting a unique culture, history, and voice. Today, we celebrate that diversity and reaffirm our commitment to preserving and respecting every language that makes our nation vibrant and united.

At ‘Legends of India’, we proudly celebrate the linguistic richness that defines our country.
