Unfortunately, many girls grow up hearing this.
But when periods become a topic of silence, myths and misinformation take their place.

Lack of menstrual awareness can lead to confusion, fear, poor hygiene practices, and even missed school days.

That's why awareness matters. ❤️

At Aasra Shiksha Samiti, we work with government school girls to promote menstrual hygiene, break stigma, and create safe spaces where they can ask questions without hesitation.

Because periods are natural. Silence is not.

Aasra Shiksha Samiti successfully conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness & Sanitary Napkin Distribution Drive in government schools to promote menstrual health, dignity, and awareness among students. ❤️

📍 Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, NIT-3
7,800 sanitary napkins distributed

📍 Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Sehatpur
6,000 sanitary napkins distributed

📍 Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Sihi
6,000 sanitary napkins distributed

✨ Total Sanitary Napkins Distributed: 19,800

Along with the distribution drive, counselling sessions were also conducted to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene, period health, and breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.

Together, we move one step closer towards dignity, awareness, and a healthier future for every girl. ❤️

Jab kisi ladki ko pehli baar periods aate hain…
woh sirf pain nahi hota,

woh confusion hota hai… dar hota hai… aur bohot saare unanswered sawal hote hain.
“Yeh normal hai?”
“Kya use karna chahiye?”
“Kisi ko batana chahiye ya nahi?”

Aur aksar… koi clearly batata bhi nahi.
Isi silence ko todne ke liye hum ground par jaa rahe hain —
logon se baat kar rahe hain, awareness spread kar rahe hain,
aur sanitary napkins distribute kar rahe hain.

Taaki agla generation confusion me nahi…
confidence ke saath grow kare.
