We are glad to share the successful staging of the solo performance “Anarkali – Naam Toh Suna Hoga” by Sufyan Khan, along with “Mercy” presented by Parindey, the Dramatics Society of Mata Sundri College, University of Delhi.
The both shows received an overwhelming response and turned out to be a houseful success. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to LTG Auditorium for their constant support and encouragement.
About the plays:
"Anarkali - Naam Toh Suna Hoga?"
This story sheds light on the resilience and beauty of a
soul, often overlooked and underappreciated.
This story revolves around one such existance that is equally beautiful to any other being on this planet and yet treated so unequally.
Anarkali unwraps some of the most emotional aspects of a Transgender's life.
"Mercy"
Through emotionally charged moments and powerful dialogues, MERCY explores themes of discrimination, moral judgement, and the loss of human dignity faced by AIDS-affected individuals. Karuna emerges as the moral anchor of the story, challenging prejudice and reminding us that compassion is stronger than fear, and illness never diminishes a person’s worth.
