A significant boost for India's biofuel ecosystem.

The Government of India's decision to exempt higher ethanol-blended petrol variants (E22, E25, E27 and E30) from central excise duty marks an important step towards cleaner mobility, enhanced energy security and sustainable growth.

Welcoming the move, GEMA President Dr. C.K. Jain noted that it sends a strong signal of policy stability and long-term commitment, encouraging fresh investments across the ethanol value chain.
