Sarathi 2.0 – Field Interaction

Sarathi 2.0 interns interacted with Ms. Shivani Ji from the School of Nature, an initiative started during the COVID-19 pandemic to support the education and holistic development of children, especially from marginalized communities.

The organization currently runs three centres and supports hundreds of children annually while also empowering women through skill development and livelihood initiatives. Interns learned about innovative teaching methods such as observation-based learning, exposure visits, and community-driven activities that aim to build confidence and responsible citizenship among students.

The interaction also highlighted women-led livelihood initiatives including traditional crafts, small-scale production, and sustainable practices such as organic farming and Miyawaki forests.

The visit offered interns valuable insights into community-led education models, grassroots women entrepreneurship, and the challenges social organisations face in scaling their work.
