🌱 NCEL at NCDC Workshop for CBBOs & FPOs 🌱

On 12 August 2026, NCEL contributed to the Workshop for Cluster Based Business Organisations (CBBOs) organised by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) under the Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) at NCDC Head Office, New Delhi.

The workshop was graced by Sh. Chinmay P. Gotmare, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW), Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Sh. Rohit Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, NCDC, addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of institutional support, business development, and stronger market linkages for FPOs.

💡 Key focus areas included:

• Capacity building for CBBOs & FPOs
• Sharing best practices across regions
• Business development strategies
• Strengthening market linkages for farmer collectives through NCEL, NCOL and BBSSL

📢 NCEL presented its role as India’s umbrella organisation for cooperative exports, showcasing how it facilitates international market linkages and capacity building for farmer producer organisations.

Through such initiatives, NCEL continues to empower farmers, strengthen cooperative structures, and build pathways for sustainable growth in global markets.

🌾 NCEL Cooperative Export Awareness Workshop | Ahmedabad, Gujarat 🇮🇳

National Co-operative Exports Limited (NCEL) successfully conducted a Cooperative Export Awareness Workshop at the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Hall, Ahmedabad, with the participation of 350+ representatives from cooperatives and farmer organisations from across Gujarat.

The workshop was held with the valuable support of RCS, the Cooperation Department, Government of Gujarat, and the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank.

The sessions focused on NCEL’s cooperative export framework and key export-oriented sectors, including:
🌶️ Spices
🌾 Millets
🥜 Peanuts
🍎 Fruits & Vegetables
🧵 Handloom & Handicrafts

The workshop provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss export opportunities, quality and compliance requirements, value addition, processing, market access, and strengthening export-ready value chains.

With Gujarat’s strong cooperative ecosystem and diverse production base, there is immense potential to connect cooperatives and farmer organisations with global markets.
