Tree Plantation Drive at Juvenile Justice Board

On 28 September 2026, SPID organised a Tree Plantation Drive at the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) to promote environmental awareness and encourage collective responsibility towards a greener future.

The saplings were planted by distinguished guests, including Judge Chitranshi Arora (JJB), Mr. Praveen Kumar Gard (CDPO, Ministry of Women and Child Development), a JJB Member, and Mr. Awadhesh Yadav (CEO, SPID).

The initiative brought together stakeholders in a meaningful effort to promote environmental responsibility, sustainability, and healthier surroundings. 🌿

Sensitization Session on Human Trafficking & Legal Developments

On the occasion of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, SPID, in collaboration with the School of Law, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, organized an awareness session on Human Trafficking and Recent Supreme Court Judgments.

The session covered trafficking, prevention and protection measures, victim rights, recent legal developments, and key laws including the BNS, JJ Act, POCSO Act, Child & Adolescent Labour Laws and ITPA.

Mr. Arun Sharma (Project Coordinator) introduced SPID’s work in child protection, prevention of child labour and trafficking, rescue, rehabilitation, education and capacity building. Advocate. Hanif ur Rehman provided insights into human trafficking in India, while Adv. Robin Raju (Prajwala) discussed recent Supreme Court judgments and their implications for victim protection and stakeholder responsibilities.

The interactive session witnessed active participation from 84 third-year law students, who engaged in meaningful discussions on prevention, legal remedies, victim protection and rehabilitation.

Together for a safer and trafficking-free future.

Celebrating the Spirit of Independence at SPID 🇮🇳

SPID celebrated Independence Day 2026 with pride, enthusiasm, and a strong message of patriotism across its different centres. The celebrations began with national flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by an engaging awareness session on the importance of Independence Day.

Our children and students participated enthusiastically in a Tiranga Rally, spreading the message of patriotism, unity, and national pride. The celebrations also featured patriotic songs, poems, dance performances, inspiring speeches, a Nukkad Natak, an engaging quiz, and fun-filled cultural activities.

The vibrant participation of children and staff reflected the true spirit of freedom, unity, diversity, and hope for a better India. 🇮🇳✨

Together, let us honour our freedom and continue building a stronger, inclusive and compassionate nation.

Capacity-Building Workshop for DCPU Staff | Delhi

Today, SPID, in collaboration with DCPU South and South-East Delhi, organized a capacity-building workshop for DCPU staff, D.O.s, and CWC members.

The session focused on Anti-Human Trafficking Laws and the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, strengthening participants’ understanding of legal provisions, child protection, and effective response mechanisms.
