Health is often treated as a welfare issue.
In reality, it is an economic one.
For daily-wage workers, drivers, women entrepreneurs, and informal workers, one untreated illness can mean lost income, rising debt, and long-term instability.
Preventive healthcare protects more than health — it protects livelihoods.
When communities have access to early diagnosis, vision care, and basic health services, people work with confidence, plan with certainty, and earn with dignity.
That stability strengthens families and local economies alike.
At Foresight Foundation, we view health as economic security — because sustainable development begins with the ability to stay healthy and productive.
This belief guides our work at Abhay Saarthi, where preventive healthcare and vision support for truck drivers help protect incomes, safety, and continuity on India’s highways.
