A Day of Learning and Green Action at the Tamil MCD School, JJ Colony, Naraina

Today was a meaningful day at the Tamil MCD School, Naraina, where students, teachers, and volunteers came together to celebrate their shared responsibility towards the environment.

The programme began with a plantation drive during which saplings of lemon, guava, amla, tulsi, ajwain, and shankpushpi were donated to the school. The students enthusiastically participated in the program and learned about the importance of nurturing trees and medicinal plants.

An interactive session on climate change followed, during which students were introduced to the causes and consequences of global warming, environmental degradation, air pollution and the need for protecting the environment. They were encouraged to understand that small actions, such as planting a tree, conserving water, and protecting green spaces, can collectively make a significant difference.

The programme emphasized that nature is not merely a resource to be used but a living system that sustains all forms of life. The students responded with great interest and showed interest to become guardians of the environment by caring for the plants and spreading awareness within their families and communities.

The plantation drive served as a reminder that every sapling planted today represents hope for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
