CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood, along with CII Foundation, organized the 3rd batch of its 2-Day Business Transformation Program for Entrepreneurs in on 3 & 4 July 2026, supported by NatWest Group.

Mr Rajiv S Jeyabalan, Chairman, CII Madurai Zonal Council & Managing Director, Susee Finance and Leasing Pvt Ltd, and Dr Balaji Venkataraman, Vice Chairman, CII Madurai Zonal Council & President, TVS Sensing Solutions Pvt Ltd, addressed the gathering, encouraging entrepreneurs to apply their learnings and make the most of continuous growth opportunities.

The program equipped entrepreneurs with skills in financial management, leadership, sales, and digital adoption — helping turn everyday challenges into opportunities for growth.

The CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood, along with CII Foundation, supported by NatWest, conducted a two-day Business Transformation Program for Entrepreneurs on 3 & 4 July 2026 at EDII-TN, .

The program brought together 60 entrepreneurs, a majority of them women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Participants gained practical insights on Business Planning, Marketing, AI for Business Owners, Financial Management, Sales Strategy, and Team Building to strengthen their enterprises and build long-term resilience.

The valedictory session featured Ms Rajalakshmi Subramanian, Past Chairwoman, IWN Tamil Nadu & Director, CareerTree HR Solutions, who spoke on leadership, resilience, and the key pillars of enterprise growth, while encouraging entrepreneurs to make the most of government schemes for MSMEs.

Micro and small entrepreneurs with disabilities participated in a Business Transformation Program organized by the CII Foundation and CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood in partnership with NatWest Group on 1 July 2026 in .

The program was designed to strengthen entrepreneurial capabilities by providing practical knowledge and skills to help participants overcome business challenges, improve operations, and scale their enterprises.

We were privileged to have Dr. Hema Sathish, Convenor of the Indian Women Network (IWN) Madurai Chapter and Managing Director of Devadoss Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., deliver the special address during the inaugural session.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Hema emphasized the importance of utilizing government schemes and support systems available for entrepreneurs. She encouraged business owners to register their enterprises, explore available opportunities, strengthen their marketing efforts, and embrace continuous learning to drive business success.

The interactive training sessions used practical case studies and covered key topics including:

The CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood successfully conducted the 2nd Entrepreneurs Development Forum (EDF) Meet for Micro and Small Entrepreneurs on 29 June 2026 in .

The program brought together 22 entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, providing a platform for structured learning, knowledge exchange, and professional interaction. The session facilitated meaningful discussions focused on enhancing business profitability and strengthening decision-making capabilities.

Key insights from the Pricing Canvas session included:
• Market positioning through competitor price assessment
• Evaluating customer willingness to pay based on value delivered
• Improving margins through systematic cost analysis and GP% evaluation
• Developing robust pricing strategies to support sustainable growth

CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood successfully hosted the 2nd Entrepreneurs Development Forum Meet for Micro and Small Entrepreneurs in on 24 June 2026, with support from Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Limited.

The forum provided 20 micro and small business owners with a structured platform for learning, experience sharing, and peer engagement.

Highlights from the event:

▪ Field Visit to Sri Velavan Agro — Participants gained practical exposure to business operations, processes, and growth practices, enabling a firsthand understanding of real-world business approaches.

▪ Interaction with Mr. V. Sivaramakrishnan, Chairman, CII Trichy District & Managing Director, Sri Velavan Agro — who shared valuable insights from his entrepreneurial journey and industry experience.

▪ Session on Pricing Canvas — An in-depth discussion on effective pricing strategies, covering customer value, market positioning, cost evaluation, and profitability improvement, equipping entrepreneurs with actionable frameworks for sustainable business growth.

CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood, in collaboration with Sriperumbudur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (SPIEMA), successfully conducted the first batch of the Business Transformation Workshop for Entrepreneurs on 19–20 June 2026 at the SIPCOT Project Office, Pillaipakkam, .

The two-day intensive program brought together entrepreneurs from the Sriperumbudur industrial ecosystem, representing diverse sectors including manufacturing, engineering, trading, retail, and services. Conceptualized as a comprehensive “Business 360” engagement, the workshop aimed to equip micro and small business owners with practical tools, strategic insights, and frameworks to enhance performance and achieve sustainable growth.

The program adopted an application-oriented learning approach, featuring interactive sessions, practical exercises, peer learning, and industry-relevant case studies. Key modules covered Business 360, Marketing, AI for Business Owners, Financial Management, Team Building, Profit & Loss Analysis, Sales Strategy, and Cash Flow Management—enabling participants to address critical business challenges and strengthen operational effectiveness.

The inaugural session was graced by distinguished industry leaders, including:

CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood successfully hosted the 3rd Entrepreneurs Development Forum (EDF) Meet for Micro and Small Entrepreneurs on 10th June 2026 in Mysuru, bringing together business owners from across Mysuru and Chamarajanagar, with support from AGI Milltec.

The half-day session welcomed more than 20 Micro and Small Business Entrepreneurs for an engaging discussion centered on Sales Strategy. Key topics covered included:

- Optimizing pricing approaches to drive better sales outcomes
- Adapting pricing strategies across B2B and B2C sales channels
- Applying the 4-Quadrant Price-Volume Matrix to build tailored sales strategies by product and channel

A special highlight of the session was the mentorship segment led by Mr. Utsav Agarwal, Chairman, CII Mysuru Zonal Council, and Director, Bhoruka Fabcons Ltd. Participants explored how current geo-political developments are impacting production costs and pricing, and discussed how businesses can recalibrate their sales strategies to retain customers while managing rising costs.

The forum concluded with the announcement of the upcoming EDF session calendar. Entrepreneurs also shared topics and areas they would like to see covered in future sessions, reflecting the collaborative, community-driven spirit of the forum.

The CII Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 2nd batch of its Business Transformation Program for Entrepreneurs, held on 8 & 9 June 2026 in , Tamil Nadu.

The two-day intensive program brought together entrepreneurs from diverse sectors — including Home Textiles, Agribusiness, ITES, Retail, Trading, and Services — under a structured "Business 360" framework designed to strengthen strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth among micro and small business owners.

The program was distinguished by its application-oriented approach, featuring practical exercises, collaborative brainstorming, and real-world case studies — enabling participants to directly translate insights into action for their own enterprises.

We were honoured to have Thiru C. Muthukumaran, IAS, District Collector, Karur District, Government of Tamil Nadu, deliver the Special Address. He underscored the critical role of entrepreneurship in driving regional economic development and appreciated CII CEL's commitment to empowering business owners in Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations.
