Global Shapers New Delhi Hub

The Official Page of the Global Shapers New Delhi Hub.

The Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, is a network of young people driving dialogue, action and change. Shapers are selected on the basis of their achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to make a difference. The community encompasses 8,183 Shapers and 1,822 Alumni hosted by 400 Hubs in 154 Countries across the world. These city based Hubs, led by youn

g leaders between 20 and 30 years, undertake local projects to improve the state of the world, locally and globally. Through the Global Shapers Community, members are provided with opportunities to connect with the worldwide constellation of Global Shapers, other World Economic Forum initiatives, and to represent the voice of youth at World Economic Forum events. The Global Shapers Community is one of several multi-stakeholder communities at the World Economic Forum, the leading international organization for Public Private Partnerships. Other Forum communities include the Young Global Leaders, the Global Agenda Councils, and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs.

Clean air shouldn’t be a privilege. 🌱

Through awareness workshops and on-ground action, our team is addressing indoor air pollution by deploying low-cost air purifiers in schools and care centres across the city. From conversations on air quality to creating safer breathing zones, we’re taking one step at a time toward healthier indoor spaces, where it matters most.

Recap with Global Shapers New Delhi Hub 🌿
Our December meetup was a pause in the rush, a potluck picnic at Sunder Nursery where food, conversations, and winter sunlight brought us closer.

We welcomed Suhaani into the hub, embracing new perspectives and beginnings, and were glad to host Isha Ostwal, a visiting Shaper from the Thane Hub, reminding us how interconnected our communities truly are.

Between homemade dishes, laughter on the grass, and unhurried conversations, we were reminded that impact doesn’t always begin in meetings, sometimes it starts with simply showing up for one another.

At Salam Balak Trust, we explored how boundaries protect us, empower us, and help us express who we are.

Through games, reflection, and dialogue, the kids co-created a space where respect wasn’t just taught- it was felt.

We’re glad to announce our upcoming Health & Wellness Awareness Session, organized under the Health Awareness Project (HAP), in collaboration with Super Child Education.

Led by Dr Aria Raina (OBGYN), this session aims to introduce students to essential preventive health practices and empower them with the knowledge to make informed decisions early in life.

Our Story

As one of the earliest Global Shapers Community Hubs in India, the New Delhi Hub was set up in 2011. Being the capital city, the Hub has garnered an interesting profile of Shapers and undertaken myriad initiatives.

We are guided by the principles and values of the World Economic Forum and the Global Shapers Community worldwide. Collaboration, convergence and harmonization is central to our Hub model. We partner with individual and institutional sector specialists and impact driven local organizations. Our current thematic focus aligns with the three impact areas of our community: Climate Change, Equity and Inclusion, Education and Entrepreneurship.

Under Climate Change, we have a string of projects and initiatives lined up the year. The first being our hub’s initiative on Shaping Mobility, a product of the Global Shaper Community #ShapeMyCity movement. We have sparked the conversation around smart traffic lighting systems in the city during our recent Hub report launch.

The second focus area, equity and inclusion, is driven by our strategic consulting project in association with the Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF).
