This is something that I have been longing to do for a while, but, never could work around it. It may just be your dream or desire too..read on... And if it is then join me in this dream and let's together do A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR THEM. Many of us loose our Dear ones to Cancer. But there are a few who know very little about the care that needs to be given to those affected in their last few days
. I lost someone very close to me to Cancer on 9th Nov 2005, but He was Blessed. His last few days were spent in a calm, spiritual and peaceful environ of SHANTI AVEDNA SADAN. Here he breathed his last. Shanti Avedna Sadan is India's first Cancer Hospice. They take in only the terminally ill patients.Their goal is to “Add life to days, and not days to life”. Since then, I have been wanting to do something substantial for them.Whatever I can will be less, but, want to make an effort none the less. You can help too! Just a "Share" OR a "Like" is all you can do, but believe me that is enough to spread the word around. Though there are the usual ways by which help can be extended. One can either:
1. Volunteer (the work options are on the site)
2. Donate (It is a good time as people who are working can get a tax rebate as well)
3. Donate Equipment
4. Spread the word around: Locally, Nationally and Internationally so that funds, visits, volunteers etc can be directed to the Hospice.
5. Ration, Facilities, Linen, Medicines etc too can be contributed. For details one can contact the Hospice or visit their website www.shantiavednasadan.org. I have already spoken to the people in charge for this and they will be happy to receive any assistance and also guide. I have marked this page to you with the hope that even if you talk/like/share virtually and literally about the Sadan your and my job is done...We may just be helping someone who needs that special care...so let them know that the SADAN is there!
