ildren. As we all know in India 26.3% of Indian population living in poverty(2015). The statistic shows that there are millions of children living in hunger, in poor health, uneducated, as well as a growing number of children living without a parent. Who would care for them if it doesn’t start from within ourselves? Our Vision :
We expanded the ideas and focused energy on helping the orphans. With assistance from my family, and with the support of my friends, we were able to make a better use of our resources. Our Mission :
To be the most effective, approachable and sustainable children’s charity that we can be, committed to supporting the children through the improvement of the care given to them and the quality of their lives in general. About the idea :
This charity foundation started informally back in September but got registered in June 2016.In 2015, on a routine visit to an orphanage, Dr Varun tried to spend more time with the children and understand their wishes and aspirations in life. They surpassed his expectations when one child mentioned that he’s never had his birthday celebrated. The others followed suit. Recollecting all the birthday cakes that he cut and stacks of presents received, he could only imagine what their joy would be to have theirs celebrated at least once. It did not take him long to make a list of the 73 children represented by 73 days of the year.The next few months that he spent striking some of these days off his list, and sharing a piece of the cake changed his perception of life. Thus was born the idea of setting up
"Chhoti Chhoti Khushiyan", meaning joys from the trivial things. From the desk of Dr Varun khullar, Founder of Chhoti Chhoti Khushiyan. We requested people to donate their old clothes and accessories, to provide to these children as their new clothes. Even the simplest of gestures would light up their lives. But that would not have been enough. Education remains the epicenter of development apart from one’s basic needs. We tried to encourage school attendance and stimulate interest by organizing vocational activities and awarding them with reading material and stationary. To overcome the disparities in female literacy, we now seek to promote the education of the girl child, by sponsoring their education and propagate it. We are a growing foundation and still learning to improve and serve better. We are welcoming your support and ideas.
