CropLife India CropLife India represents 17 R&D-driven crop science promoting in India.

We support safe, responsible, and science-based crop protection solutions to empower , protect the environment, and ensure . CropLife India is committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and it is an association of 16 R&D driven member companies in crop protection. We jointly represent ~ 70% of the market and are responsible for 95% of the molecules introduced in the countr

y. Our member companies have annual global R & D spend of 6 billion USD and are firmly committed to engaging with the farming community to enable Safe, Secure Food Supply. Member companies focus on bringing new technologies aimed at improving agricultural productivity in a sustainable manner, thereby minimizing pre-harvest and post-harvest crop losses due to pest attacks and diseases. These new technologies have not only helped reduce dosage rates of crop protection solutions but have also helped move towards greener and safer chemistry. CropLife India is not for profit oriented organization, wholly funded by membership. It works closely with CropLife Asia & CropLife International, the global parent organizations spread across 91 countries, to drive programs to promote safe, responsible and judicious use of crop protection solutions under the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach through Product Stewardship, Progressive Regulation, Intellectual Property Rights and Data protection.

Using more product than necessary does not automatically improve results.

Timing matters.
Application methods matter.
Pest identification matters.

Modern agriculture increasingly relies on science-driven approaches that help farmers apply the right solution, at the right time, in the right amount.

Responsible use protects crops from threats while helping preserve resources, reduce waste and support sustainable farming practices.

Success in agriculture is not measured by how much is applied, but by how effectively challenges are managed.

If Nature Had a Balance Sheet:

Assets:
✓ Water
✓ Soil
✓ Biodiversity
✓ Sunlight
✓ Farmer effort

Liabilities:
✗ Crop losses
✗ Food waste
✗ Resource inefficiency

The goal of sustainable agriculture isn't simply to grow more. It's to generate more value from the resources already invested.

This World Environment Day, let's remember that protecting crops also means protecting the resources behind them.

Plant health is about more than just plants. It's about protecting the systems that sustain life.

Healthy plants enrich our soils, support biodiversity, provide nutritious food, help regulate water cycles and play a vital role in absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

From the food on our plates to the air we breathe, thriving plants contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future for all.

That's why protecting plant health is essential not only for farmers, but for communities, ecosystems and future generations.

Bees pollinate crops.
Butterflies support biodiversity.
Ladybugs naturally control harmful pests.

Not every insect in a field is an enemy of the farmer. In fact, many are essential to healthy ecosystems and productive agriculture.

That's why agricultural science continues to advance towards more precise solutions and stewardship practices helping farmers manage destructive pests while minimizing impact on beneficial insects.

The goal isn't to eliminate insects. It's to protect crops from the ones that threaten harvests while preserving the insects that help agriculture thrive.

Sustainable farming depends on balance and every healthy harvest begins with a healthy ecosystem.

Your monsoon bhutta has a silent protector.

Fall Armyworm is one of the most destructive pests affecting maize crops, capable of causing significant yield losses if left unmanaged. Crop protection solutions help farmers safeguard their fields, ensuring healthy harvests and a steady supply of the corn we enjoy during the rainy season.

Behind every roasted bhutta is a farmer's effort, supported by science and innovation.

Potatoes are among the world’s most consumed crops, feeding millions every single day.

But growing them successfully is far from simple.

Potato crops are highly vulnerable to pests, diseases, and a changing climate, which can significantly impact yields before harvest even begins. That’s where precision agriculture is making a difference.

From drone-led crop monitoring to targeted crop protection and smarter farm practices, technology is helping farmers reduce losses, improve efficiency, and protect every acre that feeds the nation.

This International Potato Day, we celebrate not just the crop, but also the innovation that helps farmers secure its future.

Technology in agriculture isn’t replacing farmers. It’s empowering them. 🌱

From drone-led crop monitoring to precision spraying and data-driven insights, modern agricultural innovation is helping farmers make faster, smarter and more efficient decisions in the field.

The future of farming is not man versus machine.
It’s farmers and technology working together to reduce crop losses, improve productivity, and strengthen food security.

Behind every smart farm is a smarter, more empowered farmer. 🚜
