From the villages of Purnea to the heart of Delhi — Janman’s maternity health programme, which began with supporting pregnant mothers in Bihar, is now finding recognition and support from multiple partners and stakeholders.

We are delighted to share that the Delhi marathon community has partnered with Janman People’s Foundation as their Social Impact Partner for the upcoming run titled “Run to Nurture Motherhood” — to be held on 21st December at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐚, 𝐁𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐫: Janman, under its Maternity Health Project, has been consistently working with pregnant women and newborns across Purnea district to improve maternal and child health outcomes.

As part of this ongoing effort, we organised a workshop on maternal health at 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 & 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 (𝐆𝐌𝐂𝐇), 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐚. The session focused on women who underwent ligation operations post-delivery and those who were severely anaemic during pregnancy.

All participants were provided with Maternity Kits comprising nutrition items and daily essentials for mothers and newborns. The event was graced by the Principal, Dean and doctors of the Maternity ward, who shared valuable insights on maternal health and care practices.

Under the Bata Wings Scholarship Programme, 20 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 (𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦) have recently been awarded scholarships. These young girls, many of whom are first-generation learners from migrant worker families, are currently undergoing a 45-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

The programme ensures 100% placement for all participants, equipping them with professional skills and sustainable livelihood pathways.

Following successful batches in Gurugram and Purnea (Bihar), we are pleased to announce that the Bangalore batch of the scholarship programme will commence this month.

Through this initiative, we aim to bridge the gap between education and employment, and create long-term impact in the lives of young girls.

दीपा और निशा की यात्रा - पूर्णिया के गांव से कोडिंग की दुनिया तक

बाटा विंग्स स्कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम एवं जनमन के तहत पूर्णिया जिले की दो युवतियां - दीपा (24) और निशा (23) स्कूल ऑफ प्रोग्रामिंग (एसओपी) में 21 महीने का आवासीय कोडिंग कोर्स के लिए जा रही हैं।

दोनों लड़कियाँ ग्रामीण परिवेश से आती हैं और अपने परिवार की पहली पीढ़ी की शिक्षार्थी हैं। स्क्रीनिंग टेस्ट पास करना उनके लिए एक बड़ी उपलब्धि थी, लेकिन इससे भी बड़ी चुनौती थी - अपने परिवार को जिले से बाहर करियर बनाने के उद्देश्य से जाने देने के लिए मनाना।

Project Potential कि टीम का आभार जिन्होंने इनकी तैयारी और चयन में सहयोग दिया। साथ ही Bata इंडिया का आभार जिन्होंने इनके सपने को पंख दिए।

हम दीपा और निशा को उनकी इस नई यात्रा के लिए शुभकामनाएं देते हैं - और उम्मीद करते हैं कि इनकी कहानी पूर्णिया जिले की अनेक लड़कियों को अपने सपनों को सच करने की प्रेरणा देगी.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐚, 𝐁𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐫
Janman , in collaboration with the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare (NABH), organized an awareness seminar at IMA Hall, Purnea as part of the Gunvatta Yatra initiative.

The NABH team shared valuable insights on:
1. NABH Accreditation and Certification Programmes
2. Myths vs. Facts about Accreditation
3. Support Mechanisms and Key Contact Points

Doctors, health care professionals , hospital owners from Purnea actively interacted with NABH experts, clarified their queries, and explored the roadmap to achieving quality and safety in healthcare settings. This seminar is part of the Quality Council of India(QCI)'s flagship initiative – Gunvatta Yatra which is a nationwide movement aimed at spreading a culture of quality across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities.

पुर्णिया की युवतियों के सपनों को पंख – Bata Wings Scholarship Programme के साथ- हमारा विश्वास है कि हर लड़की, चाहे वह कहीं से भी आती हो, उसे बड़े सपने देखने और अपने भविष्य को बनाने का मौका मिलना चाहिए।

Bata Wings Scholarship Programme, जनमन के सहयोग से, बिहार के पुर्णिया ज़िले की पहली पीढ़ी की मैट्रिक पास लड़कियों तक पहुँच रहा है, जो ऐतिहासिक रूप से हाशिए पर रही समुदायों से आती हैं। इनमें से कई साहसी युवतियां पहली बार अपने गाँव या ज़िले से बाहर जाकर अपने करियर की राह चुन रही हैं।

इसको ले कर हम पूर्णिया में कैरियर बूटकैम्प आयोजित कर रहे हैं, जहाँ लड़कियाँ और उनके माता-पिता निःशुल्क प्रोफेशनल कोर्सों—जैसे जनरल ड्यूटी असिस्टेंट (GDA), होटल मैनेजमेंट, कोडिंग आदि—के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। इन कोर्सों में रोजगार की गारंटी भी है।

इस पहल ने हमारे विश्वास को और मजबूत किया है कि इन युवतियों में असीम साहस और क्षमता है, लेकिन अवसरों की कमी उनकी राह में बाधा बनती है। Bata के सहयोग से अब ये अपने करियर की नई उड़ान भरने के लिए तैयार हैं।
