NFHR National Forum for Housing Rights (NFHR) is a coalition of organisations, networks, institutions, social movements and individuals across India.

National Forum for Housing Rights (NFHR) is a coalition of independent organisations, institutions, social and housing rights activists and individuals across India. It is committed to working at multiple levels to promote the respect, protection and fulfilment of the human right to adequate housing and related rights, including protection against forced evictions. The key focus areas of NFHR are:

No forced evictions; In situ upgradation and rehabilitation; Homelessness; and Security of tenure. As a network working with the people, especially the most marginalised, CityMakers (homeless urban workers) and those living in poor settlements, NFHR engages in lobbying and advocacy, policy analysis, action research and documentation, mobilisation of communities, and also provides pro bono legal support for people facing demolitions and evictions. NFHR believes that no woman, man or child should be without a safe place to call home and it strives for ensuring adequate ‘Housing for All’.
